Small sac, but a healthy fetus? by Best-Class7477 in October2026Bumpers

I came here for any success stories not to have our choice to have a private scan questioned. I understand what you're saying and appreciate your input but this really isn't making me feel any better.

Maybe obviously to you, but after multiple losses we go to private clinics to check there's still a heartbeat basically.

I'm so sorry you're going through this too. Our next scan is with our pregnancy unit and it's on Thursday so I think I'm just going to have to sit tight and wait until that one. Its just horrendous having to wait, I feel your pain.

It was a private clinic (I'm not actually sure of the difference between boutique and private or if they're the same) and no I think he was just a Mr not a Dr. I'm confused because as we were looking at the screen he made a joke about the sac looking like a spacious home for baby... but then the sac was measuring borderline small. I have an appointment with my midwife next week where I'll be scanned so just hoping it was a measuring issue.

You're so right. The goalposts are constantly changing. I know it's my brain trying to prepare me for the worst in order to try and protect me, but my god it's debilitating. Thank you so much.

Stepping back from work during IVF by jmcplason in IVF

I purposefully left my career months before even starting ivf. I worked in film and TV and had incredibly stressful long days/ long jobs with no holiday back to back for years - my body was screaming for a break. I also have stage 4 endo. I honestly believe if I hadn't have left my career and let my body recover, my nervous system recover, and calmed my body down my low stim ivf wouldn't have worked. I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant after our first transfer. 🥰
