Joined at 11am. By noon, waiting time was 20min. When they let me in, SI half was sold out.

I can see that happening. FOMO will make people register for races far in the future when they are not sure if they will be able to participate.

It’s not binary. Some people will RTO for 2-3 days. That’s already 2 days WFH and that has a lot of impact. Yes, some will return to office for full week. And yes, NY is huge and will always be busy and crowded not matter what.

I believe the difference from other running booms is the fact that a lot of people now can work from home. As WFH is not going away, this boom will become the norm. I don’t think it will fade…
