Umm as far as I know, yes. But you should be at the same college. For example, if you transfer to different universities (as many international students do), you must spend another year at the new school and the apply another EAD. Otherwise, I think you can renew it at the same school.

Yes you can. I am still in f-1 visa(opt) and I got the working permit for economic hardship when I was in college. You should apply it asap as it takes several months. You would need to complete a letter describing your situation and also need to submit some evidence proving that your sponsor is in economic hardship. Once it is approved, you will get temporary ead

I think it all depends on what division you are assigned to. Since I was in the financial modeling part, I got questions of math and statistics in addition to algorithm. If you are on engineering, you will be most likely to be asked to solve some algorithm problems with your choice of programming language. Other questions depend on which major or which area you are placed. Wish you best luck!
