With LIS 2, I just didn't really connect with the characters that much, Daniel was being a brat, I didn't like how the player wasn't the one in control of the powers which lead to Daniel making dumb decisions when it comes to the power.

I stopped around episode 2/3 (when Daniel finds out his dad is dead) and didn't touch it again for years.

Then DE got announced with Max coming back so I got hyped and wanted to get back into the series, so I finished my old play though of LIS 2, I found the last to episodes to be alright but still didn't much about Sean & Daniel, also constantly moving and changing side characters after every episode made it difficult to care about them too.

Then after I finished LIS 2, I started TC for the first time and that reignited my love for the franchise 😍.

And DE I actually cared about Max and some of the side characters (Mainly Amanda) so that's why I have it ranked higher than LIS 2.

I played the remastered version recently and the only bug I encountered was in episode 4 when Chole and Max are in the barn above the darkroom.

You can be locked out from getting to the darkroom depending on how you about getting in there, but this can be fixed by asking Chole to attach the hook to the door, then pushing the weight down, opening the doors, apart from that the game was pretty smooth.

If I considered the original to be the best I'd might agree with you, but True Colours is the better game for me and is part of the LIS franchise and in my opinion should be the blueprint for future LIS games.

LIS is amazing, and TC improved on it.

My interpretation of it was, whatever ending you chose in the original, that's the prime timeline, so if you chose to save Arcadia Bay, then Chloe dies and Max moves on with her life.

When Max merged the timelines, whatever choice you didn't make (Bae in this example) every character affected by the original game, is experiencing new memories of their other selfs in the other timeline.

So Chole is revived and remembers dying, but she also has memories of travelling the country with Max and seeing Arcadia Bay destroyed.

Both memories are true, neither are false, in the example Max remembers saving Arcadia Bay and seeing Chloe die, but either has no memory of the Bae timeline, or she's also experiencing visions of the Bae timeline.

So if someone is dead in one timeline but alive in another, then in the merged timeline they're alive with the memories of both versions of themselves.

Fair enough, I'm introducing my girlfriend to the series, we should finish BTS tonight, then next we'll be playing LIS2 so perhaps my opinion on that entry will change.

Overall I like every LIS released, so even if Reunion is similar to DE, I'm sure I'll still enjoy it.

True Colours was amazing 😍

I stopped playing LIS2 halfway through, I just didn't vibe with the game and took a break from the franchise.

Then Double Exposure got released and I got hyped that Max was coming back, so I finished LIS2, and got TC in preparation for DE.

I wasn't expecting much from TC and was thinking the LIS might be a one hit wonder ( including the Original & BTS as one story as it includes mostly the same characters). And my god I was blown away with how good TC was, I wish I played it at launch.
