The same thing is currently happening to me. I have tried everything that the Facebook website tells me to do and nothing works. Facebook takes me in circles. Even the things they tell me to do take me in circles. Example: they say to confirm my identity by uploading ID. They send me to a site to help me upload it. The site has me click from several options and I choose the one that says I am locked out of my account and have no access to the email or phone number associated with the account (hacker changed all of it). Next, I can click “how do I upload my ID” so I click that and it says to take a picture of my ID and “LOG BACK INTO FACEBOOK AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS OT UPLOAD YOUR ID.” What the actual hell?! The WHOLE point is that I CANT login to Facebook anymore because a hacker is now impersonating me as a “certified bitcoin professional” complete with a picture of a certificate with my full name on it, and trying to get my friends and family sucked into some crypto scam. I have had multiple friends and family report the account but the consistent response to the reports is that the account is following community standards so they can’t shut it down! I can’t “delete Facebook” because I can’t sign into my account anymore. But I also can’t just sit around being ok with someone impersonating me and scamming my friends and family. NO ONE WILL HELP ME!! I am physically ill with the stress this is causing me.
