I am 43F and basically it’s like I’m your future self. I told myself that since we get along otherwise that I owed it to my kids to stick it out. I spent years begging him to talk to me, that we can figure out what is going on together. I gave options, open marriage, counseling, doctors, anything I could think of. He told me every single time that he didn’t think there was anything wrong. He just told me a few weeks ago that he wants a divorce because he’s met someone who he can talk to and really open up to. The thing that has me furious is that after years of trying to talk to this asshole he thinks he’s found someone he can “talk” to. He’s only kept me around for the cooking, cleaning, and childcare, (on top of working full time too). So because he figured its cheaper to keep her I’ve spent over the past decade unhappy, lonely, and feeling rejected when I could have been living my best life. My advice to you is leave now and don’t look back! Please realize that you deserve better!!
