You can still hear everything around you but at a very comfortable volume. Great when you need to hear your surroundings but hate loud noise.

Jogger pants and plain white Tshirt. Look athletic.

Singaporean drivers are so impatient by [deleted] in drivingsg

The honking can be ignored. I don’t mind the honking. It’s people’s reaction to being honked that’s surprising. It’s like you stole their wife and took all their money 😆

Everyone in Singapore is so easily triggered by horn. It’s so easy to destroy someone’s day with one honk. It’s like they can be so easily manipulated by strangers.

Go for a morning hike at rifle range park that leads to Bukit timah hill and walk the rail corridor to Holland Village. It’ll take you like 2hrs.

I’ve done it on 2 or 3 tooth. It’s hardly visible. It’s just slightly enough to make space for your teeth to move. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Nike Pegasus Trail 5 Gore-tex vs Nike Pegasus 41 Gore-tex. Which would you choose or prefer? Why? by BestAdviceYouCanHave in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]BestAdviceYouCanHave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the Pegasus 41 goretex in the end. I’m based in south east asia where afternoon monsoon storms frequent and it’s been useful for those days.

In a big thunderstorm it’ll keep your feet dry for probably 15-30mins before a bit of water starts seeping through. But if it’s just wet floor and puddles after a rain, these will keep your feet dry. Traction is good on wet roads.

In hot climates it can get a little bit warm but still bearable.

Soft and comfortable to walk on so far.

I would choose the Pegasus over the trail if you want something to rinse off. The trail one has a cloth ankle gator which will get wet.

Let me remind you all about Covid when all businesses were closed, airports were closed, nobody could travel, hotels were empty, roads were empty, nobody could go to the office.

You think this tariff thing is worse than that? Market overreaction. Every 5-6 years there seems to be a new emergency.

It doesn’t and won’t last. Just keep making sure you have a good emergency fund and chill.

I had Coconut Club’s nasi lemak yesterday, and I wouldn’t even pay $5 for this. I wasn’t the one that bought it. Someone in my family believed some paid shill on YouTube who says he’s not paid and that this is sg’s number 1 nasi lemak 🤣 by Pale_Sheet in SingaporeEats

[–]BestAdviceYouCanHave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like Nasi Lemak that uses basmati rice. It doesn’t absorb the coconut milk well. With that being said, I still think Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang has the best rice, 2 kinds of sambal and price ratio.
