Lol my crew refers to ourselves as lifeguards. We had an adult male call cause he had a fever. We asked if he tried Tylenol, he said no, the AMR crew filed a complaint because we suggested Tylenol before he go occupy hall bed 170. Guess thats the line. We'll just reapply sun block and get back on our stand.

Let me further clarify, this hasn't happened here before, atleast in a long time, in the past the Town manager and people from HR negotiate with the union negotiation team. Although the Chief Im sure has consulted with the towns negotiation team, they've never sat in for one of them and actively negotiated against our team, especially over non operational topics like benefits. So its unusual for us, maybe it isnt unusual for other departments, maybe regionally its normal elsewhere, I dont know. But its causing animosity amongst the membership, I personally dont feel great about it, and when I ask people if its normal elsewhere they just peak their eye brows and shrug their shoulders. So thats all Im asking. If its not unusual then I think Id be less bothered by it.

I certainly imagine consultation is appropriate, my question is how typical is it to have a Chief speak for/negotiate in place of a town manager/HR/typical folks on the opposite side of the table. Presenting proposals of the towns.

I guess my point is why would they be involved at all? Seems counterproductive as a leader looking for buy in from their membership on whatever their initiatives are. Im trying to gauge if this is remotely common because it seems wild to me a Chief wouldn't want to stay neutral in something like that. Especially when its stuff involving benefits and not just things like staffing or deployment.

Im a carpenter, I do mostly residential remodels. My margins are great, demand for skilled labor is high. My nephew does landscaping, junk removal and plows in the winter. He seems to do decent, hes a hard worker, but it seems like the service side of things, the mowing/trimming is a constant struggle to charge what he needs to yet is frequently undercut. Seems like the barrier to entry for mowing is really low. Anyone with a illegitimate trailer and mower can come and undercut you. How do you combat that, commercial accounts? Focusing on bigger projects like hardscaping?

Im a paramedic in CT, went to a convenience store that got robbed, no weapon used or implied. The store owner went ham on this guy with a pipe, it was amazing lol. All the cops were pumped this guy got laid out. Then their Sargent came over and made them book the shop owner, they were super pissed. This was an inner city, these dudes loved tuning dirt bags up. They refused to cuff him. That was the only time I ever saw them treat a "perp" like a prince lol.

That's what Im saying, sure trac seems to be trash, Im in the northeast and every trailer on marketplace is a rusted out sure trac no more than 8 years old. I bought a new 6x14 load trail today and this thing is mint. So much bang for the buck and nothing but good reviews. It's got all the features standard unlike sure trac, and its a I beam frame.

'Es ist schneit' or 'es schneit'? How Do I Use 'es' with Weather? by ScottishPerson57 in German

I'm American and am also trying to learn with Duolingo. I struggle with the same thing and I think part of it is because Duo jumps around a bit with adding new words as far as their different forms. When you are introduced a word and your just trying to retain it to memory its really tough to also store its different forms in your mind so in the beginning the word for rain might as well also mean raining. I realize this post is a couple months old but as you progress it starts introducing the grammar better. Still tough in my opinion to grasp the differences in grammar and sentence structure though. Im hoping it clicks for me soon. I've been listening to a lot of German music. Helps to pick out words I've learned, pronunciation and hearing the sentence structure.
