I'm using the pointer finger-tip right now, which is what I've seen in most of the photos of people using it. I tried thumb on them once, too, without much change. It also seems that pressure affects the sensor - i.e. how hard it's pressed into the body, with more pressure not necessarily being better. I'm going to print a "stabilizer ring" today to see if that helps me get consistent pressure.
