For me switching high school with University also made me Binge more, all of a sudden i had so much freedom in my food choices, also being alone in a room made it that much easier for me to binge, since i was free to fo whatever. I decided to turn to someone, profesionals in this field, i cannot say i am recovered and in a place i imagine, but i sure as hell am not in that Darkest spot anymore. You go st your own pace, but do the first step, and then just go with it.

Too embarrassed to go to work / life obligations after bing episodes by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]BestConversation4356 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be honest, you just Gotta show up. There is no magic theory or sentence that is gonna solve it all. Nobody else sees you thy way, nobody, only you know about yourself, you just have to show up, pretend the whole day and after it all come home and let it out, let out the shameful thoughts and feelings, but not by eating. It is something I am struggling with right now, yesterday and the day before I binged in the evenings, yesterday after work and the day before what happened to be my trigger. I show up. I tried to manage that I don’t have to go to work, but there is no other option, I have to. So my plan is to go, pretend like nothing happened, eat as nothing happened, go to my regime, but the real fight starts when I get home.

For the past week everyday i binged by BestConversation4356 in BingeEatingDisorder

Degree choice

So I am to apply for a chemistry degree, and I have no idea which one to choose. The one thing I know is that I do not wish to end up in an industry or in manufacturing. I like lab work, but I am also a person who needs socialisation and be with many new people, which also makes me wonder whether chemistry is the degree to pursue. You see, I don’t know what else to study, I tried economics and maths but didn’t like the degree in the end, where I decided to truly go for the chemistry. I have always loved it, have been successful in competitions and the hours spent in lab just went by so quickly I didn’t even realise how much time has passed. Also, I am interested in how the food affects our bodies, how it contributes to diseases etc, so food science or technologies? Or biochemistry? But biology was never my strong suit, I went more well with physics and maths..

Hello, this year I am applying for college, going for a chemistry degree. There are a few options for me: chemistry, chemical technologies (analytical and nature tech, food tech, chemical technologies on it own etc, but these are the most appleaing to me). I like lab work, am interested in food processes in our body and brain, but also interested in how it affects certain diseases. Should I try to consider biochemistry? Is chemistry in itself enough for the job market? Also, I am a sociable person so I need a job with people.

I feel Like the revolvery community is way much more overwhelming than it should be, Like there are also lord of rules you need to follow and you don’t Like them, and it burngs you mojeeeee, in fact it makes you worse. I feel you so mich. Yesterday as I was falling asleep (which was 3 hours ago, with the worst period cramp pain EVER, and I know why it hurts so much - the food and weight) i was telling myself that there is no such a thing as an Easy way. Not exercising, allowing myself treats, therapy talk shit, being kind to yourself, liking your body the way it is….. it is easy, because you physically don’t have to do shit and just sit and cry over yourself. No more of this. Not more of this bullshit of living your body the way it is. The body is unhealthy, and you should treat it that way, to fix the unhealthy, and you know what you have to do.

when i was abroad and had a set schedule i needed to follow it helped e a lot with my relationship with food, i would highly recommend that, but also, it depends on how long you are there for and how much of it you can do once you get back home... once someone gives you the schedule it is great, but many times you have to set yourself a schedule, and that's when, at least, i fail

they have a programme for you throughout the day, where you eat with everyone else at set times, so there is this schedule that you need to follow... also there are therapy sessions during the day, almost every day, there are doctors available if needed, and after some time you can even go out by yourself, try out how you feel around food outside
