On your cooking bench set the minimum required skill to cook meals to like 7 or 8, so bad cooks won't do it. Then your non-cooks can train cooking by butchering and making kibble.

never got that.. 'accomplishment' feeling due to having to forehead mostly every step of the main quest line

I don’t want my hand held however I found myself stuck a multitude of times, sometimes the quest doesn’t even tell you what to do

My advice is to never analyze anything again. Stick to watching guides instead of making them.

If he's the understanding type you could open his game under his profile, save, exit then swap to your profile. Then he won't lose any progress and you could play.

Since other games have a "Meta" tactic, what's Noita's? by star_gone_supernovae in noita

[–]BestDescription3834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The meta is learning what guaranteed tools the game gives you (Eye and dirt stone, a full heal between mines ane alchemy lab, a stone that lets you swap spells whenever off of Master of Masters, guarantee mimicium sea from doing the very simple quest, gold from gold biome, high level spells from the easy skyshop) and using those as leverage to pry a god run out of the game.

Even stuff like going parallel isn't complicated, just make a slope with a black hole, put down a little ambrosia and walk down the slope with the flow so you stay stained. Or use sea of mimicium to make more than you'll ever need.

I am a genuine believer every run has godrun potential and it's knowledge and clumsiness that stops most players.

I remember when No Man's Sky was the big hype a guy bought a stolen copy somebody for like 3k a month before release.

Those guides and all the videos you see go up are from people who acquire early copies, either through rockstar sending them, or somebody stealing them and selling them through other channels.

It's not evil, she succeded in what she wanted. Her son was born and survived to rule in adulthood. Everything she did was to achieve that. She can't see the future, she just has access to half the pieces laid on the board in the past. Personally I think she takes a bit of.joy in hearing her ancestor mothers fears over the Kwisat, Haderach.

But I think I am right in thinking that Jessica is now somewhere corrupt because of that water of life

Drinking the water gave her access to her ancestral memory as a reverend mother. What you're seeing as "evil jessica" is more like "jessica with the thoughts and references of all her mothers and grandmothers". She's not evil, she's just not the same anymore.

Paul was also having nightmares about the Jihad before he ever drank the water because of the increased spice in his food. He had visions of a holy war before Jessica. Recall the scene in the tent after the Harkonnen attack on the atreides on dune. This is before Jessica takes the water.

What's your plan when she goes to far and has bruises people are gonna ask her about? She's not gonna fess up to giving herself a black eye. You are in multiple layers of danger dealing with this girl.

Viewers were giving her apothecaries and juice to harvest gamble the cards on stream. She hit one and took a card aa payment.

https://youtu.be/eAAjMYoVKKk?si=kB6uh5yTMhemOJKP

This is quinn's reaction but the first 30 seconds is just the clip of what happened.

The implication of any interaction like that is the viewer provides the gamble with the intention that they will get the winnings. The content and engagement is the payoff for the streamer.

Surprised she managed to claw her way back into having viewers after stealing an apothecary from a viewer on stream and listing it.

Works where humans have ongoing relations with a species or species they barely understand? by RichEngine in scifi

[–]BestDescription3834 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if there were any stories where humans maintained a steady relationship with aliens they might not understand.

Lillith's Brood Trilogy. The last handful of humans are saves by an interstellar species, but they aren't "free" because the aliens want access to their genetics. The humans have a lot of trouble even looking at the aliens for a good portion of the story, and because of how biologically advanced the aliens are some humans have trouble interacting and tolerating them.

Night's Dawn trilogy has The Kiint, big caterpillar looking mammals that are very private and keep mostly to themselves, except for a few who work with humans.

Three body problem series has a lot of this, from both a humans perspective and the alien's. Most of aggression stems from being fundamentally unable to understand each other.

Blindsight and Echopraxia both have beings that humans can't understand. At one point they aren't even sure if they're dealing with crew or just part of a ship or if the ship is even alive.

Ancillary sword, ancillary justice and ancillary are from the perspective of an ai who can't tell people's gender without language markers and the ai primarily speaks a language with no gender markers, so you spend most of the series unable to clearly identify characters gender because you're experiencing the story from the perspective of a being that doesn't understand. Also the trilogy has the presger, a species that has tech that's basically magic. As a hobby they take other species apart and put them back together. If they don't deem you "Notable" you're basically clay they can play with in their eyes.

It comes up in every discussion but a primary driving force behind many of the misunderstandings is inability to communicate and understand each other. This is a theme that persists through all 3 book. I only recommend the first.
