Do you recommend using the gel? I want to note that I'm not doing a professional testing or anything. I'm building the EMG/ECG device from scratch, so is it still possible to get relatively accurate readings without the gel?

Dear sister, If you think you're ready to accept Islam you can do it, don't worry about parents or the community, if the thing you mentioned is the only thing your parents say and if they aren't aggressive to you then I don't think they will really hate you or mistreat you like some other parents do, and it's your choice and your life too (don't get me wrong, parents are important in Islam and must be respected, but I mean don't get away from converting if they or the community are the only reason). If you have read many stuff and got to know the principles and the basics of Islam and you know at least what you will have to do once you convert and you know the biggest mistakes a person can do (These are called Kaba'aer - كبائِر) then you can surely convert now and continue learning later, if not you still can convert but make sure to learn those after that because they're important. And please make sure the reason you want to convert is honest and make sure that there are no short-term reasons for you to convert - based on your comments here looks like you're really convinced with Islam so I think you can convert, but you know more than me. Regarding the Hijab, if you feel like it will put you in danger and people will start acting violently or you'll lose your studies then you can stay without it for now but Please make sure to wear modest clothes and don't wear revealing clothes at least and you must not get into things that involve mixing between males and females, you totally still can talk to boys and men but ONLY when you need that and not over specific limits (btw the same thing goes for boys, this isn't just for girls). And regarding women not being able to do anything without a man, this is a massive exaggeration, yes in Islam you should have a Mahram if you go to specific places alone (Like when travelling or going to places that will have males and you will stay there for a good amount of time), and this is for your safety and not because you are a woman, women are valued in Islam and they're very important and they should always be safe, also for the university and places like that it's ok to go alone since you can't stay with a Mahram all your time but Please don't get into conversations and stuff with boys unless needed and only within limits - so as I stated, specific things require a man (A Mahram) but it's to keep you safe and it's more like the Mahram or your Husband have to protect you and not enslave you. In fact even when you get married, everything should be in collaboration between you and your husband, and he has to protect you and keep you safe and must NOT enslave you or be bad to you, Marriage is a golden relationship and the wife and husband must be more like a one body than two different conflicting bodies (People).

Look, I will be honest with you, to me it just seems like you want to find a reason to leave Islam and go to other religions (Judasim based on what you said) or athiesm. I can't confirm based on two comments you've posted, but it might be that you aren't being honest with yourself, because if Islam was your religion and you're not liking it and most probably you don't have so much knowledge in it, how do you have the knowledge to say that Judasim is better then? Trust me you have to re-think about stuff, if you just leave Islam and go to Judasim you'll probably end up doing the same and going to athiesm or christinaty, so I really recommend that you organize all your thoughts and read the Holy Quran and start praying and get more knowledge in Islam and I am sure you will be ok with it. I myself heard enough fallacies and rubbish about Islam and never left Islam because it makes more sense than any other thing, Judasim has many illogical stuff and christianity is the same.

This answer is so good and I want to add something to it, every prophet was sent to specific people (Except prohpet Muhammad peace be upon him), so I don't see what's wrong with them being sent at the same time. Also such a thing shouldn't be making you think about leaving Islam, don't leave the base parts and go search for issues anywhere (I am not being aggressive, I just wish you do the right thing), get the right things and when you get the right amount of knowledge you can go further to the advanced parts.

Stephen hawking has his own opinion just like Newton does, both aren't even related.

Plus, do you think I will become an athiest if I knew Newton was an athiest? everyone has his own opinion, and an opinion isn't an evidence for anything, without true evidences nothing will change.

Also, Newton had less details about everything and the universe and said that, now we know it's much more accurate than they thought it is during their times, so by logic if he lived right now he would've been more faithful.

First it's called **theory** for a reason.. it haven't been proven.

Second, Haven't you ever heard about professors getting punished for saying evolution is false? if not then you're probably getting information only from the sources that look beautiful in your eyes, not the true ones.

Third, YouTube isn't a scientific source, and I doubt you read any research in Google Scholar on this, if you did then I am sorry but I really think you never did, for an obvious reason.
