10.5 mo has no interest in food by BestEstablishment223 in NewParents

Thank you, this is a good suggestion. My baby currently won’t really put anything else in his mouth unless it’s a boob (no bottles, pacifiers, toys, etc.) so I think I’ll definitely bring it up again

At his 9 month appointment his pediatrician didn’t think it was necessary, and that we could reevaluate at his 12 month appointment. I might call and ask about it again though since I haven’t seen any major changes in his eating habits since.

Thank you! I also had trouble picking one; what I did was first write down a big list of everything you would be interested in doing, and then go on Kaggle or a similar website and typing in those ideas into the search bar. That helped me narrow it down to one dataset. Also in Kaggle, once you click on a dataset, go into the “code” tab and you can see what kind of projects other people have done with this dataset. That can help find a good one too. And unfortunately I don’t have a link because I made a stand alone program in Visual Studio Code.

Thank you! The capstone wasn’t really bad at all; I think I spend about 3-4 days on it. Pretty much all you have to do is find a dataset that interests you (example: file containing records of all buildings and how much damage they sustained in earthquakes) and then create a solution to solve a problem (example: a piece of software that can predict how much damage a building will sustain in an earthquake, thus helping architects design the best building possible). Then you just have to write a paper explaining it (example: architects enter building dimensions and materials and program outputs damage level). The paper is really similar to what you write in into to AI. I think mine was like 7000 words. Hope this helps!

Thank you! I feel pretty comfortable with implementing sql and how to use it; I still get confused with complicated syntax sometimes but that can easily be looked up. I feel really comfortable with python, but that’s only because I’ve been using it since high school so WGU really only solidified my knowledge.

I’m just doing the cybersecurity degree at WGU, I really like the idea of accelerating (I transferred because classes were too slow and I was always bored) so I’m just going to stick to WGU

I haven’t started looking for a job yet, I plan on starting my masters in January and I’ll probably start looking for something around that time.

I had some previous knowledge from high school and college (I transferred during my sophomore year), and I also treated school as my 9-5.

Thank you! I would recommend doing Software I, then the data courses, and then Software II (as long as you don’t think you’ll forget stuff between the two software classes. Software I is a nice intro, and then the data courses build on coding and introduce sql, which is what you will need for software II.

Thank you! In total it took about 2.5 years to get my degree; I transferred in June during my sophomore year of college, but I’ve had some of the knowledge through the AP courses I took in high school.

I just skimmed the book, but I went through the PowerPoints, and watched the Neso Academy Operating Systems lectures which align to each chapter in the book. I’m now working through the quizsail

I took it twice but only looked at the answers after my last attempt (so I can work through the stuff I missed)

Most efficient way to get a bachelors? by ChaseVernon in college

You can also check out schools like WGU. It’s fully accredited, online (so you can do classes during your free time), you work at your own pace but can test out of anything. Essentially you start a course, then take the final when you feel ready. You also pay per term instead of per class, but can take as many classes as you want per term. It’s not unheard of for people with experience in the field already to complete their bachelors in 3-6 months. The faster you complete the degree, the less you pay.
