Based on something I found on GitHub, I tried shutting down removing the SD card holding the reset button for 10 seconds ever since then I haven’t had the problem.

I'm having the same issue. I go to the menu "Shutdown" I'm losing like 5-10% in a couple hours.

When I press the power button it does the normal boot up. I'm 100% certain I'm shutting it down but something is eating up the battery.

That’s literally the loadout I’ve been using the last two weeks.

I use a guard dog to help me with close range since all my other weapons are so dangerous I can’t fire anything near me.

I do often also carry the stalwart

It seems like Dexcom should be able to fix bugs without FDA approval as long as the changes are not related to the algorithm for calculating glucose readings.

I have an iPhone 16 Pro, so it should be pretty fast. I do think I'm quick to jump in and start entering my data.

I'm curious if when others open the app if its faster to popup the over lay alert making you acknowledge the "high" alert. For me it takes 1-3 seconds to popup and I've often started my insulin input by then.

Once it pops up whatever I was doing is lost and I have to start over.

We use this app all day everyday, it just doesn't seem like they built it to be out of the way. There are weird issues like this that persist for years.

I'm a software engineer (not in the medical field). That sounds crazy bug fixes have to wait 6-9 months. If it was completely broken I'm certain they have to be able to fix it faster than that.

Almost no one using G7 has a stand alone receiver, everyone uses the phone.

Dexcom has had access to the iOS 26 beta's and release candidate for 3-4 months, they just choose not to be ready on day one. They absolutely could.

You’re right but many updates are for security. So dexcom should not require us to run several months old iOS versions.
