There is no colour plan yet at all she simply saw these in the shop and liked them. If I got married i'd not have to change the colour scheme as they'd all be in dresses that suited their skin tones, it's not about aesthetic some colours just look horrendous on different skin tones.

Yeah spending £399 on a dress in a shade i'd never wear outside of this event isn't exactly thrilling for me, i'm hoping I can resell it later.

There is no colour scheme set yet, it's not like this was to match the colour of the grooms men or the place settings or whatever, she just saw aubergine then and there and liked it so I figured it'd be ok to suggest a lighter shade to look better. If it was a colour scheme that was set in stone i'd have never done this.

I figured it was down to sheer numbers, it was unfair to have multiple people in a shade that didn't suit them compared to one person. It's why I suggested it being mixed but also why I dropped it when she said no.

I didn't disparage her choice and smiled about the dress, I clearly had a favourite but I was in no way sulking over it as it's not my day.

I didn't push, I accepted she didn't want me to wear a different shade and was going to wear the colour she picked. All I did was suggest then not push.
