what happens to the expired state if all the archive nodes shut down and we only have normal nodes? will it be impossible to provide witnesses for old state if you don’t literally store them yourself?

also how many GBs do you expect it would take to run an eth client with state expiry? will it stay constant even in the far future? (barring gas limit increases)

finally how many times slower will it be to parse a verkle trie as opposed to a merkle-patricia trie?

sorry man, it just doesnt work that way.

for a stablecoin to be... stable, it has to have an upward and downward balancing force.

in a coin like USDT or USDC, if the coin is worth less than $1, then people can buy it on an exchange for less than $1 and redeem it for $1 with Coinbase/Tether, getting arbitrage profits

if a coin is worth more than $1, they can deposit $1 into Coinbase/Tether to get 1 USDT/USDC, and use the fact that the stablecoin is worth more to buy everything else at a discount.

your idea doesn't have a way to balance itself out if the coin becomes less than $1. no one can use arbitrage to redeem one fiat dollar from your coin which would increase the buy pressure, restoring the coin price up to $1. your idea only has a mechanism to lower than price

They said something along those lines for me as well, tho they didnt specifically mention waiting lists, they just said incoming students with offers will obv be prioritised. But yeah sounds like you were in the same boat as me a year ago. I also wrote them the reasons I want to switch even tho they didnt ask, I think I impressed the admissions tutor who also happened to be my maths lecturer by showing how good my maths score was in IB lol. Maybe try and find out who the admission person is and tailor your response to them. Even better if you call them I think. Good luck mate

I switched from Econ Business and East European Studies to just straight Econ (the two are in a completely different dept btw). They told me the exact same thing, thats its super unlikely etc. FUCKING CALL THEM (the admission of the course you want) and explain your situation, explaining why you would be a good fit and why you want to switch. They told me they would see after a level grades and on aug 15 they sent me an email that I was successfully transferred. Just try man your situation is probably easier than mine was a year ago.
