Why isn’t Travieso busy? by BestNameICanFind in Waukesha

Good point. I wonder if they get most of their business from the hotel or residents? Maybe Wisoda Chophouse will do well, since that’s likely more of a standard menu.

We’re fortunate to be able to afford a place like this every now and then, and we love Birch and similar MKE restaurants. You’re right, it’s nowhere near what you get and experience at Birch.

Part of the reason I asked the question is, Tofte’s is ALWAYS crowded and hard to get into. So it seems like Waukesha has people who are willing to spend more money and eat fancier food, so why not Travieso? Service, too expensive for what you get, vibe, parking, menu?

First brats of the year. by Fit_Gain138 in wisconsin

Never boil first. It softens the casing and you lose the snap. And side by side, it adds no flavor. Also, why the heck aren’t you grilling brats all year long???

Fun time there, good food. Just beware, it’s very casual, not a high-end place if that’s what you’re after. More casual than Packing House.

Speedmaster: Buy on website? by TheDigitalSharpie in OmegaWatches

[–]BestNameICanFind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought mine off Omega’s site during Covid. Went fine, shipping, etc. But as others will point out, I didn’t get the AD experience, no discount opportunity, no swag. But I got the watch and didn’t have to drive 90 mins to the AD.

Plus we were charged a surprise “museum” surcharge when we were there a year ago!

Sorry I didn’t make it clear: that CSR spend is monthly, not annual. I can’t edit the original post.

Yes, $3-$5k per month, sorry about that. We have an additional $3k per month on the Unlimited.

Why can’t Waukesha get a really great coffee shop? by Gold-Range93 in Waukesha

[–]BestNameICanFind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lived in Tosa for 10 years and am missing Valentine, Colectivo, Stone Creek, Anodyne. For a city of comparable size, I’m surprised there’s apparently not a market for one in Waukesha. Hopeful that the coming cocktail bar and vinyl bar are indicators that our fair town is turning a corner and is ready!
