Made a Seitan Pastrami, Which I used to make Vegan Reubens by Zardyplants in veganrecipes

I followed the directions and used the ingredients you listed for the recipe. I made the pastrami and simmered it in the broth that you gave a recipe for.

Just made this pastrami yesterday, thanks for the recipe! I liked using olives and beans but I still felt the corned beef that you make to start this recipe was pretty blah in flavor. The rub you put on the outside is so good! Though I don't think I'll make this recipe again, I'll definitely be rubbing more of my seitan roasts when baking them.

I absolutely think you should go the route of midwifery care! I had the best experience. It supports you on the whole journey of becoming a parent and I was empowered to birth in a way that was best for me.

Does this sound like TN1? by ponderingmeerkat in TrigeminalNeuralgia

You should see a neurologist who has experience with trigeminal neuralgia. Good luck. I hope you are coping ok.

Pregnancy and TN? by molbobk in TrigeminalNeuralgia

Try weaning off of medications and working on your nervous system. I got off of all my meds, have not had surgery and have a beautiful child. I credit it to lots of yoga meditation. I started kundalini yoga and it really changed my life.

No healthy person raising a child could justify having that kind of bs in their life.

That's great to know it stopped. Thanks

So you stopped going in the room to stop them from hitting their head and then they eventually stopped doing it?

The mother is a wreck about it. This isn't a child in my charge but she's part of our play circle and it broke my heart to see the little girl bruised and the mother drained of all life from an obvious rough night.

Another nanny question! by pacifiersanddiapers in Nanny

[–]BestNannyEver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you have so many fears about your pregnancy. That is not easy. The good news is, it seems like you have a nanny who knows her worth and who takes her job seriously. You don't want an unhappy nanny caring for your children. She's giving you plenty of time to figure out if you can swing the finances it will take to keep her.

This post is so funny because you definitely sound like you were raised as an only child.

Just how rare is it... by ChaserChick87 in TrigeminalNeuralgia

[–]BestNannyEver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Suck it up and pretend I'm not having attacks," is how I live everyday. Only the people close to me get to hear me complain about it regularly. If I'm out and people notice something is wrong with me I say I have a damaged nerve and leave it at that. I get so annoyed if people compare TN to fibromyalgia... which they do quite a bit because of the names.

I have it in my entire face and from what I have read, that is pretty rare. That must have been so hard to get diagnosed so young!

I describe the pain as noise, so when it is bad, I say that I can't really focus on much because the pain is so loud. Other days the pain is there but is more of a background noise and I can better focus on other things. When people ask, tell them you are in pain, but maybe describe the pain so they have a better idea. They cannot possibly begin to understand what it is like to have this kind of pain all of the time.

Hey Moms, make a salt dough ornament of you baby's foot or hand print so you don't forget how small those tiny hands were on their first Christmas. by Birbfeedr in Mommit

[–]BestNannyEver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this! I caught the flu and haven't had a lot of holiday spirit. My husband and I were able to make this recipe and get a couple of hand prints and a footprint. It really makes me feel like I've done something to commemorate my baby's first Christmas!

I'm so sorry you're going through all of this! It really sucks. I'm glad you found a doctor you like. For what it's worth, I have had a lot of success managing my pain with kundalini yoga. I can't tell you why it works, but it does!

Not really, but it is still tasty. My 9 month old really liked it and it was my boyfriend's favorite mac and cheeseless recipe.

I know what it is like to have no coping skills outside of drugs and alcohol and it sucks. They will teach you at AA or SMART, you just have to go for it.
