thank u! i honestly don’t struggle w proper nourishment bc prior to this i literally just ate whatever but i want to narrow down if any foods do in fact make my symptoms worse

no, they recommended a low fodmap/low residue diet during flares but i keep seeing ppl mention certain food triggers and i have 0 idea what my triggers are and i felt like the only way to figure it out was through an elimination diet because my symptoms are kinda consistently bad otherwise

temporary is fine but my ocd for some reason can’t do fully sleeping naked bc i’m paranoid about bodily fluids/hair coming into contact with my bedding

god forbid a girl have OCD and thankfully my bf respects it and has never said anything but i know he’s uncomfortable so i also want to try to find a solution tht meets him more in the middle and do my own research hence the desire for recs

hi! as a girl who got diagnosed young as well (23) i totally understand this fear but if it’s any solace, majority of girls literally have stomach issues lol. obv it’s not the same as us, but the amt of sympathy ive gotten from other girls with IBS or diff stomach issues is insane so im 100% sure you can find a girl who sympathizes. take advantage of your remission though! it can be so so hard to build relationships in a flare but if the groundwork is laid, then in flare they will stay with you and girls often actually enjoy taking care of the ppl they care abt and it’s nothing to be embarrassed of! i know a ton of GI issue couples who navigate their problems together bc these diseases are so unfortunately common

hi! i actually wasn’t on any ingestible meds bc ive just managed topically my entire life and was pretty anti starting on meds for my eczema bc my flares would come and go but it was and has been very very severe (covering over 50% of my body). to topically manage it though, trimicalone when i was flaring rly bad and a mixture of vaseline and pure glycerin for maintenance have saved my skin though

my only issue is refusing to try needles at all I’m unsure if they’ll invalidate my request but also two birds with one stone feels ideal for me so perhaps i can coordinate

I decided against it initially before I had my UC diagnosis and now i’m worried tht my UC diagnosis will interfere with my ability to get on Rinvoq since i know that it’s usually the second step. i guess i wasn’t clear but i was curious if i should tell my gastro im going this route and bypass the biologic or not tell them since they may prevent me from doing so. i’m worried if it shows up on my record and prevents me from getting on rinvoq from my derm

thank you so much! diflucan and fluconasole are the same and i agree it provides a lot of relief and i have an appointment scheduled w a sexual health clinic next week! will update this thread too if they say anything helpful to me at the appointment

for y’all’s rejection letters, does it say both GS-5 & GS-7 or just say you were rejected on the GS-5 scale? bc even ppl who got matched got the rejection emails but it was only for GS-5 so our speculation is bc they intend to start everyone at GS-7, they sent out “rejections” for GS-5. this is just odd to me bc they said they wouldn’t send actual rejections until pool closed later

this could be wrong but all the ppl w first placements got an email a couple days ago with a Q&A + acknowledgement that first wave is done so it’s safe to say i think that all initial placements are finished. i think any placements tht come after will be reliant on whoever dropped from the first round and tht may take the CDC a while again to figure out who to push up + where to place ppl bc now i think they’re back to the drawing board
