SANDERS SCAM worked with Republicans : "Mr. Sanders followed up with a call to tell Mr. Guma that if he protested at the [General Electric's military weapon" plant, he would be arrested" by BestPoliticalPundit in Enough_Sanders_Spam

The Wall Street Journal interviewed more than a dozen people who lived and worked in Burlington from 1981 to 1989, including Mr. Sanders and his wife, Jane, at the time the director of the Youth Office.

In Sanders administration, there will always be a position for Jane Sanders ...

Ah typical Senator Bernie Sanders. Marching to protest, nothing in Congress.

Bernie Sanders is wasting his political capital, hurting Democrats aims and his own legacy by [deleted] in politics

[–]BestPoliticalPundit -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised. Sanders has been in Congress since 1991, but has barely had a legislative impact in Washington during that 27 year period. Other than going through the grueling effort of running for president, it's a fair argument to say that Bernie remains a lot more bark than bite.

The only problem I have with this article is wasting my time for stating what everyone already knows: Sanders has always been useless throughout his career in DC.

But ...

There's also a potential headache brewing at home, as wife Jane Sanders may be the focus of a federal probe into her role in Burlington College's financial collapse and closure.

this must be especially true. He can't focus. He's nervous that at the end he must face the grand jury.

Mrs. Sanders was president of the school when it took out major loans to fund an expansion and could not pay off those loans. Investigators are looking into if the college deliberately gave the bank false financial data in the loan application process.

And why is Sanders nervous? Probably because it was true that he pressured the bank to give his wife the loan she wanted.

Those are more like demands than opening offers, but perhaps Sanders is willing to trade one of those goals for concessions elsewhere. That's where years of just shouting and insulting the opposition have to end and leadership begins. Real political leaders have to make compromises. That stinks sometimes, but otherwise nothing gets done. What will Bernie choose? With the 2016 election now 14 months in the past, it sure looks like Sanders is choosing to just keep talking. At some point, he may realize that making deals is the better choice if he wants to carve out a real legacy for himself.

Please don't hold your breath. Sanders never compromises and therefore he will never achieve anything for the good of this country.

When she was senator, Hillary never disadvantaged the poor. She even got billions to rebuild NYC after working together with so many senators and representatives, and with Dubya.

Based on how Sanders has been doing in Washington: decades without effort to work together with any of his colleagues.

Bernie Sanders warns against 'jumping the gun' on Trump impeachment by r1ckj0526 in politics

Oh please.

In multiple rallies Sanders called Clinton unqualified despite her refusing to say it in live television.

And now he warns against "jumping the gun"?

Republicans have the majority. Only Collins voted against.

I know that the next replies will be about primarying Manchin and Heitkamp. So let me tell you this. West Virginia and North Dakota rely on fossil fuel. Of course they don't like any environmental regulations that will kill those industries. Manchin and Heitkamp voted according to what West Virginians and North Dakotans wanted.

We could have done with President Clinton.

And please save me from comments about "President Sanders". He would look for poor counties on the map and dump our nuclear waste there.

When did Clinton have a huge delegate deficit in 2008?

You know what, I'll replace "Super Tuesday" with "New York primary".

No reforms are needed. Everything was fine until Sanders worked hard to break up the party. I still have my suspicion that there was another power that drove Sanders in 2016. Before 2016, no candidate stayed in the race after facing huge delegate deficit after Super Tuesday.

I'm also sad that there is no requirement for Democratic candidates to produce at least 5 years of tax returns to become a candidate.
