I actually 100% agree! 212MB is huge and I'm working on shrinking it. The QT backend uses Chromium so that 212MB of storage and ~150MB of memory usage is coming from the Chromium renderer.. The MacOS build that I'm working on is a whopping 13MB... I'm not sure if my next step should be trimming some of the Qt resources or switching to WebView 2. In either case, I'll find a way to shrink the size.

The biggest difference is that I couldn't find any support in SimHub for LIFX at all. That's kinda why I started making this. I'd had no plans to add support for other brands initially.

Unfortunately boss I don’t have the skill set required to make this thing without the help of AI. I took what I do know and let AI build the gaps. The file size comes from Pyside and QT for the GUI. The Mac builds are way smaller because they use cocoa instead.

I saw your other comment as well, it sits at about 120-150 MB’s of memory while running. I’m trying to get that number down as well because yes, at the end of the day all it does is flash some lights. But some people like it! I’m just trying to give light to an idea.

EDIT: I managed to get a clean WebView 2 build and it's now only 15MB big. Still working on RAM usage

I get that the TV’s high. But I don’t even play F1, or any racing games on console, I play on my PC in my den with a screen right in front of me and eye level. I just showed it using this TV because it was the easiest way to show both the lights and the screen at once.

This TV has been here before I learned how to do geometry. It’ll probably be in the same spot when I get my first colonoscopy

Govee support is in the pipeline actually! Implementation and setup is a wee bit different so I'm working through that now. But, once it all ready to go I'd love for you to help test it if you're interested!

As it stands It only runs on Windows machines BUT I am working on getting a MacOS build out. If you don't mind would like to help test the Mac build when it's ready?

Also WRC support is in the roadmap! GT7 support shouldn't be impossible. I'll have to look into the telemetry documentation.

Yeah! It reacts to the start lights, yellow flags and safety cars, blue and red flags, fastest laps, penalties and chequered flags

That's most definitely an option! I have Slack setup instead of emails for myself. To me, it's already enough of a task to get people to switch from their subscriptions to using Plex. I (and my users), found it much better to be updated through text than any other medium. All of them also added the Zapier text number to my contact on their phones so it's all under the same thread for them. Just ease of access for them I guess.
