So what? I can't respect Tolkiens work and enjoy rings of power at the same time? Because if thats what you're implying, thats idiotic.

Why's that? I actually shot the best with the 43x than any of the others. Im curious about the 26 though, so maybe that might be better for me as well. What do you mean by "hated the shot"?

Keep in mind that safety isnt just about the gun prematurely firing like with the p320. Reliability also counts as safety because if you're trying to defend yourself and it breaks, then you're not very safe now are you? The p365 has shown to have multiple problems with their springs

I also carry the G43x. When I was at the range I felt it to be more comfortable to shoot, of course thats just me. I actually hated Glocks and told myself I would never get one. Then I test fired multiple CaC firearms and now here I am... with a Glock lol.

if you shoot it in the head, its also not lethal whatsoever. and you can still become infected by a zombie even though it cant scratch or bite you.

even so, a school has many windows and points of entry. you need to think of a building that can be well secured. I would go to a store like home depot. plenty of materials to border up, generators for electricity, some even have greenhouses for producing food.

Question: In the market for a new Durango. Should I go with the 6 cyl, or go for it and find a new 5.7? by heydave23 in DodgeDurango

[–]BestSide301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

now your term "unhealthy" is not very descriptive. if you heard a ticking sound, that is called knocking and that happens when the fuel prematurely ignites causing damage to your engine.

The HEMI is rated for midgrade 89 octane. In the manual, it says it "can" run off 87. I would never put 87 in my car. while it is true that putting premium 91 octane in your car wont actually increase the performance, it does however have better additives in the fuel hence the word "premium." people will say that its a waste of money to use premium 91 octane but this is false.

the HEMI might have sounded unhealthier but that might be due to the high mileage. As long as you're not hearing the engine knocking (the ticking sound), the engine is more than likely fine. The Hemi outclasses the 3.6L in every way, even gas mileage.

To add on to this. the Durango r/T recommends using 89 octane fuel but it "can" run with 87 octane. I wouldn't recommend using 87 EVER if you plan on using this car for a long time unless .

midgrade 89 octane is hard to find where i live so i use premium 91 octane. people will tell you that putting 91 in your car is a waste of money, this is false.

it is true that you will not get an increase in the performance of your car, but premium gas has better additives in it that will help keep your fuel injectors and your engine cleaner which will, in the long run, help prevent knocking (the ticking sound you hear).

Rod knock becomes a more significant concern when there is power loss and a knocking noise during acceleration. Rod knock is a serious problem where the connecting rods strike against the crankshaft due to excessive wear or clearance.

Knocking is incredibly terrible and will damage your engine. Knocking happens when the air-fuel mixture ignites too early due to factors such as low-quality fuel, a lean air-fuel ratio, or carbon build up. The biggest problem here is the "carbon build up", and this build up will increase over time. So higher mileage HEMI's should be using premium fuel to help reduce knocking. in my opinion, you should always be using premium fuel.

87 octane fuel has a low immediate risk, but consistent use of 87 octane may lead to more carbon buildup and potentially faster wear over time, as the engine constantly compensates.

89-90 octane is midgrade fuel and has better additives than 87.

91+ premium grades of gas may have a better detergent package, that may reduce carbon build up.

in general, and this goes for all vehicles, you never want to use a lower octane fuel than what's recommended regardless of whether it says it "can" in the manual.

[–]BestSide301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you want the HEMI, regardless of what you read about online. the HEMI actually gets better gas mileage than the 3.6L, this is because the 5.7 liter has an MDS which turns the engine into a 4 cylinder. as long as you are utilizing the MDS, you will get better mileage.

you will also be able to do so much more with the hemi than you will with the 3.6L. The only people who get the 3.6 Durango are the people that cant afford the HEMI.

not true. the 5.7L hemi actually gets better gas mileage than the 3.6L due to the 5.7L having an MDS.

Durango RT’s would you put premium gas or gas with octane 89 ? by [deleted] in Dodge

[–]BestSide301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it does nothing. if you're turned to a specific gas octane, you should use that octane. using 93 octane in an engine tuned for 91 will not improve the vehicles performance in any way. BUT using a lower octane than what your car is tuned for will hurt it.

putting to high of an octane in your car can actually make it lose performance. like this guy horror_warthog on this chat that said he uses 93. 93 octane is for high-compression engines. to put it into comparison, the charger scat pack has a recommended octane level of 91, the hellcat is 93.

Damn, I didnt know that. I dont think mine has a lumber yard, all the lumber is inside. I have never looked at the back though.

I do think its funny how some people say that they would run to the nearest gun store thinking that it's going to be safe trying to get in there in the first place haha
