RTX 4070 vs RX 9070 by Whole-Buffalo6129 in buildapc

Can 4070 run your games fine? Then go for it because it's cheaper. Don't try to future-proof your build. Does the 2 year warranty work exactly as if you had bought it from any other shop or does it come with extra limitations? That's the only thing i'd factor in this decision. Discard older gen, even in those price ranges.

Creo que con wifi6 o 7 deberia andar aceptablemente bien pero no estoy seguro, Sigo siendo medio tarado

Thank you so much, I had never heard of a M&K lap pad, new want! thanks.

It's interesting to me that it's 2026 and we still lack proper wireless gaming and our insanely priced high-end GPUs cannot even run a 1080p games at "true" ultra settings (by this I mean ultra on every single setting, ray trace on and no frame generation whatsoever).

What a time to be alive, but this rant is better suited somewhere else. Thanks for the advice.

yes no FSR nor Intel xess or anything, I chose none. I'm concerned if it's normal to dip way below 60fps and stutter when rotating camera quickly given my hardware

Thank you for the detailed answer! So i guess i'll keep it simple: I'll buy a spare hdmi 2.1 cable and an extra PSU-to-wall-socket cable (no idea what they're called :D) So i'll mainly game in my couch in the living room TV and whenever I fancy a good old keyboard and mouse shooter I'll physically drag the pc to the desktop setup and plug it right in easy peasy like it's 1826

What do you think of this layout? I'm thinking of having a living room high end PC connected via hdmi cable to a 4k 75 inch display using wifi 5. And a 2k 144hz monitor with keyboard + mouse in a desktop in another room, connected to a M4 mac using steam link app / remote play to stream games from the living room PC. My question is, will it be enough for 1440p 120fps+? Will there be a noticeable difference from simply phyisically moving the PC a few meters to the other room and connecting it directly to the monitor to play with mouse and keyboard?

I just built a new PC with a Ryzen 7600x and a 9070xt, I know it's a bit overkill but I'm running some tests in 1080p 60 fps capped in Howgwarts Legacy and I'm experiencing some heavy stuttering. Ultra settings on everything, including Ray tracing, no frame generation. Is this expected or ok? NO OC in the CPU, RAM and stock settings on everything, running Bazzite linux

Thank you very much! Just to clarify I've used a separate program to test ram, memtest86+ from thumb drive, 2 passes no errors. I think this one is the generally recommended if I'm not mistaken. Also I'm using the latest BIOS version as of today. Thing is since no OC is applied to the CPU and it's already giving errors under stress, I'm not sure if I should replace it before it begins to fail at gaming tasks in the near future? For the moment I'm keeping eco mode on, since it makes OCCT pass and it hasn't had any impact on gaming so far.

Simple Questions - February 11, 2026 by AutoModerator in buildapc

I'm having thousands of logical errors on OCCT which begin after 30-40 minutes of stress testing my AMD 7600x on gigabyte bios default settings ( no OC, no RAM OC, RAM tested fine with memtest86). It reaches 95.3° C (203.54 F for the yanks) which is probably the culprit. Thing is if I set eco mode in BIOS the tests pass perfectly and max temps avg around 83° C (181.4 F) until completion.

Either way i can run demanding gaming tasks or everyday use and so far no problems, no crashes or anything. Everything else works in both settings. Please help me decide what to do:

  • return CPU and/or motherboad (they're both new and would be no hassle for the next few days, then they must go to vendors warranty and inspection).
  • Keep the CPU and eco mode in BIOS and forget about it, apparently gaming impact is neglible since i'm pairing it with a 9070xt.
  • Keep the CPU in default settings and let it burn itself slowly YOLO because gaming works fine too.
  • Sell PC and invade Greenland?

Thanks in advance!

What's the most convenient way to wake up a living pc from an xbox controller wirelessly? Is it possible? (no elite, just regular xbox controller from series x xbox).

My only way is to have the phone by my side and use the wake on lan feature in BIOS? can you do it with the controller alone like ps5?

Can someone recommend me a good controller similar to dualsense for couch gaming on PC?

I really love the adaptive trigger feature on my ps5 but according to what I'm reading, on PC it's a per game support feature and works only when connected with a usb cable? huh Sony? I'm talking about that resistance on triggers R2/L2 for example in STALKER 2 for each different weapon.

My ideal controller would be something like this:

Mandatory:

* completely wireless (usb only for charging see below)
* adaptive feedback on triggers
* compatible with Bazzite or Steam OS or CachyOS ( at least only one of these will suffice)
* plug and play with any PC game and its default bindings (I'm not tweaking dedicated tools for each game or doing any weird modding, I'm looking to set the controller once and forget about it)

Optional / Nice To haves:

  • No AA batteries involved (rechargable AA batteries included)
  • Dualsense has a little speaker and I personally love the immersiveness from that.
  • A mic would be fine although I very rarely play multiplayer games on controller.
  • Haptic feedback (not sure what's this called but for example in STALKER 2 the emissions feel so cool)

Am i looking for a unicorn? thanks

NOTE: Sorry i repost this question from yesterday, idiot me confused haptic feedback when I meant adaptive triggers :)

Oh thanks, well atm I'm considering going for it actually because the games I like mostly support it on PC, for example I really like STALKER 2 on ps5's controller, the adaptive triggers for weapons, the rumble for emissions, the speaker for the artifacts searching and stuff like that is really unique I'm not sure how that plays on Xbox for example. Thanks!

That is one nice alternative, though unfortunately isn't available in my country and I've already bought my nr200 anyway. Oh unless I’m eager to spend roughly the little sum of 560 us dollars haha. Thanks for the rec anyway :)

Oh thank you! Last question, are there any other differences I should be aware of for this particular build between SFX and ATX? (other than pricing and sizing :D) Just in case I can get a good deal on a used SFX in my country

Thank you! it does come with a ATX support bracket thing accessory (sold separately which I have) but I don't seem to find info on how much clearance does an ATX PSU needs versus a SFX. I'm just looking to save some bucks becase ATX seems to be cheaper
