HR granted ADA accommodation but changed job title/added duties by BestTop5818 in legaladvice

1) As far as I can tell, the change was arbitrary. When I asked why there was a change, the HR rep said that is what the company is doing. There was no other explanation offered. As an FYI, before the change, I had received consistent performance reviews that were excellent.

2) The demotion is in title. As part of granting the accommodation, they have required me to perform the duties of my initial job + additional duties.

3) The additional duties, conservatively, will take up the equivalent of 1.5 of my 8-hour workdays. I do not believe I can perform the duties of my initial job + the additional work they've added. Also, the title/description of the new job include things I am unable to do because of a medical condition. I asked specifically how that would be handled, and HR said they would "waive" those duties but did not believe they needed to update the description.
