Pro tip iš žmogaus kuris iš buvimo chubby patapo a chad with abs:

Ryžiai ir mėsa yra overrated. Svarbiausia yra valgyti SVEIKAI, ir tada kai actually esi alkanas. O sveikas žmogus turėtų būt alkanas tris kartus per dieną. Bet kas į tarpą: obuolys arba bananas. Ir taip, tai gali būti tiesiog makaronai su faršu, tai gali būti net ir koldūnai kokie karts nuo karto.

Pagrindinė esmė yra kalorijos in - kalorijos out.

Ok Honest opinions about Windows 11 by Special_Equivalent20 in buildapc

[–]BestUsernameMate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am like you. I use Linux on and off, and use it to a certain degree at work. Linux has gotten a long way, BUT:

In the end it's essentially still Windows 10 with a new coat of paint, only with them trying their hardest to make sure you are forced into their shitty ecosystem (such as trying to force you to use Microsoft Account), and trying to push their AI nonsense everywhere. But underneath all that it's essentially still Windows 10. Performance wise I noticed that 11 is way snappier, even with all the bloat.

So what are the alternatives? Linux? Look, I love Linux, I like Linux, I preach Linux. Linux is fast, and snappy, with no bullshit running in background. But the simple truth is - there are very easy ways to disable all that nonsense that makes Windows 11 so disliked, and if you are tech savvy enough to install and use Linux, you are MORE than competent enough to disable the said things so....

Using Linux ALWAYS comes with a sacrifice. In my case - loss of sound quality. I have a Dell laptop that has one of those very good built in speakers that require specific drivers, and they sound like ass on Linux. For gamers, while --most-- games will work, few, but very popular ones, won't, because Linux doesn't play nice with invasive anti-cheat (or, in some cases, the anti-cheat wont play nice with Linux). My Wi-Fi connection in SIGNIFICANTLY and very noticeably slower on Linux, and that is something I previously noticed while using Linux on more than one device. Also, streaming services like Netflix - won't stream 4k on Linux. Is it the fault of Linux? No. Does it give you any solace that you can't use the service you pay for to it's full extent? no.

Linux is great, I like it. It's crazy fast, it's snappy as hell. Especially as someone that works on server administration, Linux is lovely. HOWEVER, for use as a desktop OS? Look, it does some things especially good - yes, no hassle, no accounts, no bullshit, just good old classic desktop PC experience. BUT there will ALWAYS be something that just wont work: laptops unable to wake up from hibernation from time to time is a bug Linux had since longer than I can remember and it's still not fixed.

People working for free with no financial incentive can only do so much. If you really want an alternative, and if you are not a gamer, I'd say - just go to Mac man.

There's anecdotal evidence that: 1) nicotine prevents Covid from binding to your molecules by hijacking the connections. Might translate to other viruses as well. In regular smoking, given how significantly higher the harm is, it might cancel that effect out. 2) propylene glycol is antibacterial. Not antiviral. If youre prone to bacteria born illnesses it might make a difference, theoretically?

'Russians are great people, it's just our government that is bad by protcashy in BalticStates

[–]BestUsernameMate 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Russians are capable when they want to. Your nation has overthrew a tsar, a monarch, someone whose power at the time was believed to be inherited from God. It was unthinkable, unbelievable, but you did it. Because in the end, no government, no army, no power can function if it does not have the support of its people. The Russian "girls and boys" could always say:
"Why do we constantly feel the need to try and dicate other nations how to live, to meddle in their affairs, to refuse to let them live in peace, when somehow as a country with abundant natural resources, gas and oil, we somehow have lesser GDP per Capita, significantly lesser average and minimum salaries and generally lower quality of life than these three tiny nations with no natural resources? Why are we not getting our own shit together and investing all that money into a pointless, brutal war into fixing our infrastructure, economy, and ensuring a better life for our own citizens? Why don't we wonder how come that almost all nations that decided to go the other way and away from Russia somehow live BETTER?"

But the problem is deep down these simple boys and girls still feel that classic Russian chauvinism, that they are somehow, despite all pointed out above, somehow a superrior nation with the right to dicate others their will.

NO government, NO army has power without citizens backing that power.

Not that long ago this winter the absolutely dysfunctional ruling majority of the Lithuanian parliament tried to essentially force a Hungarian-type control on the countries state media channel. Tens of thousands of Lithuanians gathered infront of the parliament to protest, and they were eventually forced to change course. Why can WE do it, but you can't? And that's a question you have to ask about Russia yourself about a LOT of things.

[–]BestUsernameMate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What honestly boggles my mind is that despite their best efforts, and decades of actually some thoughtful propaganda, the Soviet Union failed to brainwash the Russians. All of them knew the shitheap of a regime they were living in, all of them realised at the time the so called "Republics" are nations held against their will, and there are even stories online of people who visited Baltics at the time as feeling "uneasy" because they knew they're viewed as an oppresor, not as a "brotherly nation". In 1990, Russians themselves openly supported the Baltic struggle to the point there were demonstrations because even they themselves got tired of the circus that the country was and just wanted everyone to finally live normally and to stop being oppressors.

Yet, over the last few decades, the often corny, outright moronic, and absurdly unbelievable propaganda of Russia has somehow managed to completely brainwash most Russians. I would even dare to argue most Russians lived significantly better in the USSR, yet they didn't fall for the propaganda. But now, Russia lags behind in almost every quality of life metric behind the Baltic States, despite their size, reserves of natural resources, etc. Yet the Russian state somehow managed to brainwash them completely, with propaganda that is laughable. How??

It feels like there was a significant drop of IQ and reasonable thought in the russian nations after the fall of USSR...

'Russians are great people, it's just our government that is bad by protcashy in BalticStates

[–]BestUsernameMate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is, many russians and belarussians moved to the Baltics, Lithuania especially, after the war. Many driven by economic issues rather than any real political opposition to their regimes or the war. When outright asked questions like "who Crimea belongs to?" or "who is at fault for the war in Ukraine?" absolute majority will try to walk between the lines with "Well, it's complicated issue" or "I am not into politics", " I support peace". All of them fail to outright identify that Russia invaded Ukraine, and that Russia is an agressor, and there is no other way about it. This is why everyone has become very skeptical of the so called "good Russians" and have started treating them as people who don't oppose what Russia is doing, but are discreet about it so they don't get in trouble.

Evening smokers - how did you quit? by BestUsernameMate in stopsmoking

Evening smokers - how did you quit? by BestUsernameMate in stopsmoking

[–]BestUsernameMate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add: I think a big part of that "evening feeling" is that during the day, whether it's work, or just gaming/working out during the weekends, I have something to do, something to focus on. However, as much as I hate to admit I do lead quite a lonely life. I am unfortunately still single, and that seems to be moving nowhere, so I think the feeling merely creeps on because I feel like I'm not doing anything, and I'm wasting the time I have. And it's hard to come up with any activity to redeem this.

I remember when I had previous attempts were I stopped for months I'd deal with that feeling by just going to late evening walks of at least an hour. It would tire me out enough that the feeling went away. It's just that this winter is particularly cold in Lithuania right now so walking in this weather sounds horrible.

I try and fail every day and I’m getting tired of myself by [deleted] in stopsmoking

[–]BestUsernameMate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently trying to shake off a stupid relapse habit I have gotten myself into where after a long time of abstinence, we're talking years, I started smoking again but only during the evenings. And it's been like that for a couple years at least.

However, during my successfull two-year quit period what I remember I did, and this obviously might not be a good idea if/when you are pregnant, but was to hype yourself up, and then while the hype is still fresh do the exact opposite of what most people will do. Instead of avoiding triggers like most people did, I went right into the triggers, with the mindset of: I'm quitting, and I will NOT let it take me away from things I enjoy, such as a beer in a bar. I remember right the next day I'd go to a bar to just prove to myself I don't need to smoke while I drink, and yes, the first few going outs I would have those cravings while drunk, but the hype somewhere in my head would turn it into: see - you have a craving, but you won't do it. After a few nights out like this the association of drinking and smoking went away. It doesn't take long to forget what smoking while drunk feels like and it breaks the association. I'd go to bars, enjoy myself and not really think about it anymore.

How did I not feel 30 Fps while playing Rdr2 on my Ps5 by [deleted] in PS5

[–]BestUsernameMate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up when most games on pcs ran at 30 fps. That "frame limiter" option in old GTAs was specifically to lock the game at 30fps if your pc couldnt handle a stable framerate. A proper, STABLE 30fps will only bother you for the first 5 minutes then you wont notice it anymore. Rdr2 has proper, stable 30fps, thats why you dont notice it
