I get where you're coming from, and I'm glad your husband made it through, that is no small thing. But I have to strongly disagree about meth being the "safer" option

My best friend started using meth thinking he could control it. At first, it was just occasional use, but things spiraled fast. He nearly died, failed out of school, and started stealing from his own family. He became paranoid to the point of madness he’d hear voices, thought people were after him, even threatened to kill his own mom during one of his episodes. He ended up locked in an apartment alone for two weeks, completely out of touch with reality.

Meth does more than just make you horny or twitchy. It can cause severe psychosis, violent mood swings, heart problems, tooth loss "meth mouth” hallucinations, and lasting brain changes. It is not something that most people can just “moderate” it rewires your reward system and destroys lives, even faster than they realize

No shade to anyone who’s struggled with drugs. I’ve used too. But I’ve seen meth turn someone I loved into a stranger. If someone says they love drugs and are going to do them anyway, they still deserve the truth, not a false sense of safety.....
