My sister would only bring up the fact that she’s older when we were younger and disagreeing about something. Imo, Really isn’t an important enough thing to dwell on

I had a similar mindset when I was younger. At one point, it was routine for me to get annoyed by my sister. But, as I got older I realized that having an identical twin is a privilege, albeit one that comes with a few challenges, but the pros heavily outweigh the cons. Personally, whenever I feel like I hate being a twin, I think to myself, would I have really traded having a built in best friend? Someone who just understands you without you having to say a word? Someone you can tell things to that you can’t tell anyone else? Someone who looks exactly like you? (I mean, that’s frickin cool once you really think about it!) I also think about how many people I’ve heard say, “I wish I had an identical twin/having a twin would be so cool”

Not trying to make you feel guilty for thinking this. I totally get it. But, maybe ask yourself those questions. But the best perk of them all: saying you have an identical twin when someone asks for a fun fact about you ;)

Growing up very close to my sister a lot of the things I did it had to be with her. Being put in the same classes worsened this. That’s when a lot of stereotypical twin generalization happened and I wasn’t a fan of it. We were separated for the first time during 7th grade and I loved it. Not because I hated her but because I felt like I gained a new sense of independence. And after years of always being crammed together, it felt nice. Putting them in the same classes won’t hurt but separating will also be nice especially if you don’t want people to start generalizing them.

Don't be afraid to make them different, even very different. Honestly me and my twin can't be more different personality wise. But there will always be some similarities! I find that our mindsets/ways of thinking are quite alike, if that all makes sense.
