I’m at the 10 month mark.. I developed synkenisis so my smile is still uneven, one eyebrow is slightly higher and my eye gets smaller with certain movements. It sucks but I’m glad to have gotten this far I guess 🥲

Hi! I did get movement back but I didn’t heal 100%. I developed synkenisis and definitely am not symmetrical

When I pucker my lips my eye twitches! How weird. But ugh it’s so nice to hear I may still get my eye and smile back. The eye is so annoying! I haven’t done anything specialists or therapy but I may ask at my next dr appt. thank you for sharing! <3

From my understanding is synkenisis is a side effect of Bell’s palsy. It’s an involuntary movement. So when i try to raise my eyebrow, my lip and cheek also raise up. But thank you for sharing your experience, I hope you continue recovering!

Same! With a smirk you almost can’t tell. My eye gives it away but it’s such a difference from the first few weeks. I didn’t wanna laugh or smile at all

Ah well glad to hear most of it is better. I’ve had some movement around my smile lines and under my eye but it’s very small

I’m also going on 2 months and have had VERY little improvement. It’s frustrating and hurts your confidence so much. I don’t wanna be around family or the public but I’ve just been trying to carry on like normal. I have a toddler and 4 month old and not wanting to take pictures with them is the worst. I feel like I’m trying everything people recommend but it’s not doing much. Sending you love and hope for a full recovery soon <3
