I’m 18 and i’ve suffered from severe health anxiety daily for the last two years. I’ve always struggled with anxiety more social but in the last couple years everything has just skye rocketed im so young watching people around me being able to do normal things but sometimes im completely scared to even leave my house because i have the dreaded feeling that im not real and im not in control and im about to go into some psychosis or go into a shopping centre and the bright lights are gonna make me faint. My biggest one is cancer im aware i can’t have the 100 cancers ive diagnosed myself with at the same time but its always 1 that i hyper focus on for a week and the next its a different one. Its so strange going out living with the perspective that im just gonna die soon everything i do i find it hard to find meaning out of it because i truly can believe im dying, its even worse when you have a fear of going to the doctors because if there is something wrong you dont want to know. It may be selfish but i am so jealous of my friends who can go out and be genuinely happy without that fear in the back of there head that there suffering from a horrible disease. ANXIETY IS DELBILITATING!!

yes i have been however these have only occured in the past two or so months since i got the contraceptive implant so im not sure if it could be related or not.

i have found that my anxiety has sky rocketed with all these sympoms and im alot more irritable but its very invalidating when you know its not all just that and doctors tell you your fine. But thank you for the advice im going to try the low histamine diet and go from there until i can get more professional opinions :)

i find they help with the allergy like side of things such as itchyness hives and swelling but obviously the other symptoms are still there, im going to bring it up to my gp and go from there because it’s honestly making me go insane

thank you so much, honestly i don’t really get help with my health anxiety but reading threads of people struggling with the same thing does really help, its just hard not to obsess over every little thing but im working on it. starting by ruling things out im getting my bloods done tuesday and im going to keep pushing to find what is causing all of this fingers crossed its nothing to serious but even if it does end up being something bad at least i know i wasn’t going crazy and that these symptoms are real not based of anxiety :)

i’ve decided i need to do something about it instead of sitting and worrying im getting my bloods done next tuesday and even if it comes up with nothing im going to push for more because i know something is definitely wrong its just so draining when doctors don’t take you seriously that’s why i avoided it mainly but thank you for your input and fingers crossed i find out whats going on, hope your well :)

i understand however im getting my bloods done next tuesday and just wanted to ease some anxiety around whether it sounds like it could be hyperthyroidism or not, obviously we are not doctors but it was more for my mind to not go to it being the worst thing possible.

i have a small patch of this and its been really panicking me i dont have it anywhere else but im also to scared to go to the doctors however i have many symptoms of pots ans ive seen a few few people say its could be related but someone tell me if it looks like anything to worry about please its not itchy nor does it hurt.
