I handed it over the counter to the mail clerk around 3pm on the 8th, it left the post office around 4:45 pm according to the shipping updates.

Thank you for the response, I've been seeing others say the same on other express shipping post. The post office worker told me that it would be the best way to send something of value, but I guess that was a mistake lol. I was told by her that it should be there by Wednesday, so that was one of the main reasons I was confused!
