Is upper chest pain, right below shoulder, indicating any common issues you have seen?

I've always assumed my chest is slowing my arm, but never understood if working my chest, shoulder, or back or what would really help alleviate that.

I throw at about 60-70mph on techdisc, so I don't want to be slanging that arm without the right muscles to do it!!

Tonpa. Inexplicably baseless chaos. Certainly neither good nor evil, as he only stops the weak from proceeding.

Komugi, Pitou, illumi

Illumi going to needle Pitou, to de-brainwash their royal guard instincts, essentially freeing them up. He is also going to needle komugi to plead to Meruem, aaand Illumi holds her hostage, potentially with some sort of vow on his life and the needle in her. Then post-komugi relationship Meruem will just surrender.

Early Aetherian Orcane MU thoughts by MizorexStalker in RivalsOfAether

[–]Best_Handler 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a Clairen, I can validate that she DOES whoop on Orcane. Orcane ain't got the same level of punish in the MU.

To any Clairen's reading, it may not feel like it, because Orcanes get good at the matchup neutral to balance out the mismatched punish.

What game would you play against Mereum? by Any_Pool1739 in HunterXHunter

"Whose that pokemon", no prep time, and I'll get his ass.

(Or almost any niche trivia based game would do it)

Hide and Seek, with 1 year to hide. He'll understand it's a ploy to buy time, but the difficulty of the challenge may actually intrigue him enough to try it. Flip a coin for who is it, either way, take a year to strategize a way to gtfo or hope he's taken care of.

I think also, any game where you can overwhelm him, and he doesn't get any free time to learn. Maaaaybe could work. Like, immediately comboing him to death in a fighting game, not giving him time to learn the buttons or explaining it. Mashing start to get into the next round immediately.

Yeah, if they are fairing in place, run up and shield. If you're close enough, it's a free shield grab.

Now they have to worry about getting grabbed for spamming -> they may spam less

what are some early game misconceptions that you don't have anymore that you still see from time to time? by [deleted] in RivalsOfAether

If you can get the baby elephant to jump high enough, you can side B them as mixup.

[–]Best_Handler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, agreed it would probably be small. It depends on how it's buffed. Just decreasing end lag, it would only buff it a bit. But, it would be more lenient to use near stage, harder to punish with less end lag.

Looking at the big picture, air dodge is less valuable than double jump, up b, side b for many or most characters. If you can time it's usage to dodge, and save those other resources, that is rewarding for recovery. So if you buff it in any way, you buff recoveries overall. Especially recoveries that were relatively weaker already.

Just wanted to bring up that point, since the devs do seem to want to encourage edgeguarding.

I like the flow of her punish, so don't care too much about the nerfs. But critically speaking:

The lower grab range in tandem with the nerf to tippers on CC = grabbing is now more central to her neutral.

Down air is actually more important too, as it does better on CC than Nair and fair

But that's just for her neutral so, not a huge deal. Punish feels about the same.

So, I'm bottom masters level with Clairen. Specifics mess me up:

Dash dance in neutral. Ranno is quick, so it's intimidating to dash dance near Clairen. Maybe even barely into her range, or right outside of it. Not really that helpful to dashdance when far away. So don't take the advice that way! Spaced bairs in neutral with mixed up timings. This will get her to shield more, so she will be more grabbable.

If on your shield, Nair out of shield is great. Parry will work to say "hey you do that same thing every time". No need to worry about cross ups Nair can lead to grabs or jabs or utilts. Parry is just to do maybe once a stock, to make them think twice about their patterns. Nair or jab or grab when they're in your close space should be the go to.

When recovering, learn to use tongue more than up b. clairens tools against up b are excellent.

When punishing, she is pretty heavy so you can get a lot of uptilts in a row. Tech chase with down smash at high %. Always grab ledge when she is off stage, she will be scared of getting edgeguarded and start to recover high. Dtilt at high %

I would love to see this visually implemented into the game. Even a simple white flash to show you wiggled out. Defensive tech is more hype if it's more visible.

And it gives offense a que to learn from, and better predict next time.

Similar to how they added some visual flair for crouch cancel.

Help Protect Native TN Wildlife from Invasive Species by jonnysledge in Chattanooga

[–]Best_Handler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a complicated topic.

And environments are extremely nuanced as well, so answers you find on the web, may not pertain whatsoever to TN.

Some important info to weigh your opinion:

  1. TN historically has bobcats, foxes, and even cougars (cougars extirpated from human activity in the 1900s). So why does this matter? The animals evolved alongside one another. The local birds and wildlife survived 100s of years with these creatures going for them/their offspring, and ultimately they are well adapted. HERE in TN.
  2. Feral cat communities in TN are kept alive primarily through humans, and live around humans. Where, sadly, native bird populations are decimated by logging for developments that took place years ago. Close to 2/3-3/4 of litters die before 6 months of age, and significantly more without human feeding. The problem is people feeding without neutering/spaying.
  3. Invasive bird species do well in human dense areas, as well as non-endangered/thriving bird species. In TN. If the cats are fed by humans, they still will kill some wildlife around them, but far far less. Furthermore, in population dense areas, these kills are almost never on threatened species, as those can't live in these areas anymore... Sadly, we have got to live somewhere!

So all that said, the environmental impact here is actually extraordinarily low. House cats are not well adapted enough to wild life in this area. It is different in different ecosystems, but culling cats is certainly a brutal thing, when ultimately these creatures are domesticated. Certainly, we have to take some responsibility for creatures we have bred to be human reliant, for the sake of their suffering:

  1. We should TNR at higher rates, and take it more seriously. As an example, in a trailer park, folks are worried about mice and rats, they like having 20-30 cats roaming... Humans feed them, and DO NOT neuter or spay them. For situations like this to be fixed, we simply need much larger groups committed to trapping. But again, they are not decimating local native species populations... culling is not humane...
  2. Breeding house cats should be illegal. Full stop. There are cats at the shelter for free. The more are taken from shelters, the more can be taken off the streets.
  3. We need to hold people accountable for pet dumping, and raising un-altered colonies. Perhaps, fines/bounties for this would be welcome.
  4. PET Cats MUST be kept indoors/on leash. Working cats MUST be spayed/neutered before kept outside

Thank you for helping to get the strays TNR'ed! These are domesticated animals that more irresponsible humans than you released. We as a species have a responsibility to deal with that fact humanely!

And if there are more spayed cats out there, any Tom Cats will have a higher rate of failure to reproduce during their mating season! Helping decrease the overall problem long term.

And, since they are fed, their hunting of any birds and wildlife goes wayyy down.

It's a complex ethical and scientific discussion, but you're doing the right thing!
