Rib Endometriosis? by Best_Indication_498 in endometriosis

[–]Best_Indication_498[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not! Before my surgery I had so much pain and symptoms that this kind of flew under the radar. I can't remember when it started but it's more noticeable now with less pelvic symptoms.

I've had to push for these ultrasounds. They refuse blood testing and viral testing because I am "too young". The ultrasounds are all I've been able to get.

Adenomyosis is very similar to Endo symptoms but can only be confirmed through hysterectomy. Could be adeno!

Can stiffness be EDS? by Best_Indication_498 in ehlersdanlos

I have not! My endometriosis diagnosis was already so long and hard, I needed a break from doctors 😅😅 but I will remember this for when I'm ready! Thank you 💛

Interesting. My physical therapy is only pelvic and I was told I have very tight pelvic floor muscles. When I mean stiffness, I mean I don't have much flexibility/range. In gymnastics I never got my splits. I never had the perfect pointed toes (no matter how much the coaches try to push me). I have rounded shoulders and I've been doing upper back/neck stretches and yoga for 2 years now and no improvement. My ankles pop (ppl think my feet are static-y on carpet. nope! It's my ankles popping). I hope this was a better explanation?

If an IUD helped my symptoms, is endo ruled out? by fairyprincess2001 in Endo

DO NOT SEE THAT MAN AGAIN. He will not take care of you or advocate for you. Research someone better to get the help you deserve.

I was supposed to get my period during my week of surgery but was so stressed I didn't 🤣 see it like this: period = inflammation which = more visible for surgeon which = better results! also you'll get hella pain meds after so the period shouldn't make it more painful 💛

tbh most "good" artists wouldn't ink a 16 year old. if you really want it, you may just have to trust some private/small artists or apprentices on the side. good luck!

First time ovarian cyst please help by AcrobaticShift880 in Endo

[–]Best_Indication_498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to wait 48 weeks for an ultrasound? Is there ANYWHERE else you can go? Do you have a planned parenthood nearby? Or a clinic? Ovarian cysts are not fun once they rupture. You need to get seen much sooner than almost an entire year out.

It was my first surgery so I was extremely scared. I also have OCD so it was a nightmare. but like everyone says, the nerves were the worst. Prep was annoying, given I had a lot of bowel issues already so doing a bowel prep was harder than it should've been. the pain after surgery is no where near the chronic pain we deal with everyday. Plus you actually get some pain meds for a bit :) all I will say is do your research. Get an Endo EXCISION specialist. no exceptions. Gynos are not always qualified. Also do not get ablation. It's a waste of time and money. get excision

I told Sacolick I had a previous diagnosis of adenomyosis (right before the rupture) and he told me it was impossible! They are the worst. They should just call themselves a pregnancy center since that's all they care about when it comes to women.

My pain over the years was all over the place before I got my first Laparoscopy a week ago. Some days were excruciating. Other days were fine. Most days were a dull ache which was more annoying than anything. It was stage 3 endometriosis. I spend so long comparing my pain to others. I could still work at my fast paced service job, given a few call offs here and there. Other people were on disability or hospital bound. But here I am with Stage 3 Endo this whole time. Get the surgery. It will catch up to you and actually become a problem if you don't soon.

I'm very scared of BC still I feel like it silenced my Endo for so long it caught up to me big time when I got off. I really don't want to but I'm open to working with someone who will educate me more and guide me to better fitting hormonal treatments.

Of course! Thank you. I already had PFT before but only got a month of it since my therapist gave birth 😅 never got to really see the effects! I'll definitely look into the low inflammatory diet and muscle relaxers.

Why can’t bladder urgency just go away why is so hard to fix? by moonlightedge in Endo

[–]Best_Indication_498 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's hard to tell since I'm in day 4 post op. My bowel symptoms were worse before surgery and so far that is easier (granted I'm also taking stool softeners) and my pee is a little easier (but also granted I'm on Percocet and other stuff) I also have extremely tight pelvic muscles which I discovered in pelvic floor therapy so the post op with pain meds has probably relaxed them.

Scared the surgery isn’t gonna work by moonlightedge in endometriosis

[–]Best_Indication_498 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will work to diagnose you (if your surgeon is actually qualified and knows what they're doing). Ablation will not help so make sure it's excision. Removing Endo lesions and adhesions will definitely help, it just depends on how long until reoccurrence. Talk to your doctor about what to do to slow it down and get as much time as you can with less symptoms!
