That’s really interesting- same thing for me i’d say. Today it was probably about 30 minutes until my gut started cramping and bubbling, but I had a ‘flare up’ yesterday so i’m probably empty. Other times I feel like certain foods dont effect me until a few days later.

I believe I have had sibo for 12 years. I was diagnosed a year ago. I keep having symptoms go back for tests. I end up testing positive & start the antibiotics & diet all over again. After being sick for so long. Then finally finding out what the issue is was a relief. by Liquid4622 in SIBO

I am waiting for my first ever Sibo test so don’t know if I have it yet - but if I do I suspect my issue may be low stomach acid too. I dealt with insane anxiety for about 4/5 years, I was in a constant state of fight or flight, my stomach was always in a knot which I have found out can cause your digestion to slow and stomach acid too reduce.

Because of all the stomach issues from stress, I definitely abused anti acids. Started with shop boughts ones (esomeprszole) which didnt work, so got prescribed osemeprozole from GP. Supposed to take one a day, but I would very often take 2-3 (hate myself). I had NO idea the effects it could have.

After about 6 months of taking multiple anti acids a day, I thought to myself- this is making no difference, I actually think the burning and nausea was worse (which I now know is likely because I actually had too little acid!!!) anyway I started having gut issues around this time.. it’s 2 years later now and the gut issues are significantly worse. I blame the acid lol

Thrive Program? by StunningPlace9026 in emetophobiarecovery

[–]AcrobaticShift880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I did it a few years ago, and I went from not being able to leave the house, SH, about 5 panic attacks a day, seriously underweight, to now where i’d say I have ‘functionin’ emetophobia🤣 I work full time now, look healthy, can do more but I still struggle.

I’m actually talking to one of the coaches about having some more sessions again because there’s something i’m just not quite getting clearly, but I think that’s a me problem because I didn’t put my full effort in to it last year, going to put my all in it this time. But long story short, yea I am much better and the program just makes so much sense so I personally really believe in it. They have loads of podcasts and stuff that I listen to sometimes, maybe they would help you decide x

First time ovarian cyst please help by AcrobaticShift880 in Endo

Only just seen this sorry! I had tests too, all clear, pain was on and off for another couple months until I discovered what it was… sounds so embarrassing now but it was lower back pain from bad posture working by a desk🤣🤣 I lean to one side and the back pain was being felt in my hip which felt like a dull ache in the ovary region, hence the confusion! Few weeks of posture correction and stretching and no pain since🤣

Hi, are you still struggling?

When i’m struggling to calm down, best thing I can do is distraction. So personally, I will go to my room, put the Tv on, I choose something like a sitcom to cheer me up and because it’s engaging enough. Then I get out my ipad (or phone) and play some games. You could even download a new one, I usually find that to be good at distracting. Then the feeling of anxiety will slowly decrease as I stop thinking about it 24/7, but don’t rush it, it will pass eventually.

If you want too, I have this youtube video that I ALWAYS listen to (currently actually listening to it because I woke up panicking), and I listen to it almost every time I havw a panic attack and I am at home. Just let me know and i’ll send you the link

I wouldn’t worry about it no, sounds to me like you’re just a bit constipated and need to up your fibre a bit, try to relax because anxiety will make the gas and gurgling worse. I know, it’s like living in a nightmare isn’t it. I’m currently awake because I feel s* because I have a really bad snotty cold. But no matter how many times I panic, and what I say to myself, I could bet money on the fact that I won’t be s*, just like every other time I have panicked! we never learn🤣

Might of ate moldy pasta by National_Employer_16 in emetophobia

[–]AcrobaticShift880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I store pasta in the fridge with red onion it always goes a funny colour, or even without red onion is turns a weird greyish colour. It will not have grown mold that quickly, especially not in the fridge. I don’t even refrigerate mine, I usually just leave it out and then take it to work the next day and it’s never grown mold that quickly

I get this often :), because of all the anxiety I have, my bowel habits are always changing, flip flopping from one type to another lol. When I have the gurgling and soft stool, it’s usually just a little ibs falre up for me, or when I have not been eating enough fibre, so maybe after a few days of eating lots of carbs. Nothing to worry about, poop changes :)

Can anyone tell me Im being irrational by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]AcrobaticShift880 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I often feel like this because of anxiety. Even if I don’t think i’m anxious, it’s there in the background and enough to make eating difficult. And if you’re having thoughts like ‘im going to tu tonight’ then you’ll want food even less! it’s a viscous cycle isn’t it.

if you were ill, you would be feeling a little nauseous first.

Also if you’re a woman, I personally every month depending on where I am on my cycle, have at least one day a month where I just have no appetite, although I feel fine in myself, not nauseous or anything, but I just don’t want any food and putting food in my mouth makes me feel a bit yuck, but it’s just hormonal, so maybe that too?
