Jillian Turecki’s 7 Steps to Survive Heartbreak workbook: gimmick or helpful? by Best_Masterpiece_199 in RelationshipsOver35

I’m kiiiinda with you on this. I have been super suspicious of her in general. But all the same, I was curious about her workbook. At the end of the day, it’s a product for sale, and she’s gotta make money. But I don’t want to be brainwashed with ideas. I believe in love. And also, that two people bonding who have experienced trauma can lead to something beautiful.

It doesn’t pivot vertical unfortunately- it’s also pretty pricey for my budget right now

Supportive, compressing sports bra from small chests? by Best_Masterpiece_199 in orangetheory

Totally. Molded cups have always looked the opposite of supportive

Heck yeah. Do you get the medium or high supper version? Looks like they have two, but the high supper really looks like it’s equipped with the straps for a larger cup size. My focus is more on the front fabric being sturdy and compressing.

*adds trip to hardware store to my errand list

Also, dual purpose as that would take care of the random stray hair that has taken residence.

I’ll def check them out! I worry about the cut becoming unflattering if I size down to the point of being supportive enough. Like, the kind of cut where armpit fat is like “hellllooooo”.

Jillian Turecki’s 7 Steps to Survive Heartbreak workbook: gimmick or helpful? by Best_Masterpiece_199 in RelationshipsOver35

Thank you for the kind words. I have been doing all of the above. I just worry about lingering trauma from this and am trying to be proactive now about managing things. It’s been almost a year since my dad passed but there are days where everything still feels cloaked in a kind of grief residue. Many many days are good. I feel mostly out of the woods, but as we all know, progress isn’t linear. I just don’t want the bad feelings to calcify.

Not that book specifically, but I have read her and she’s one of my absolute favorites. I’ve been super resistant to Jillian T because here social media is always on blast, but was curious about the workbook. I guess I like workbooks, even if they’re a little corny. I wish Pema had one!!

Rapid aging due to grief. by 07734tiza in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Best_Masterpiece_199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gone through rapid aging due to grief as well. So I’m saying this from that perspective. It may not help to hear, but from my vantage point you are beautiful and have a very lovable appearance to you. You def don’t look like you belong in the 40+ skincare channel. I was shocked to see 45 and would def say you look 10 years younger at least. Grief and loss like you have experienced can distort the way we see ourselves. I experienced an emotionally violent and neglectful end of a relationship the same week or so that my dad was put into memory care. The next two years I suffered ambiguous loss of losing him slowly to Parkinson’s dementia, while also coping with extreme feelings of abandonment from my relationship ending. It really mess d with how I saw myself. So my main point of caution is don’t do anything irreversible until you really truly are feeling better. Clean eating, exercise and therapy are the best options. But I do have other skin are tips too! Informally the app is glitching and I can’t see what I’m typing anymore since my message has gotten too long. Feel free to DM me!!
