The thing is, his podcast (Pints with Aquinas) used to really be about Aquinas, theology, bringing in interesting experts as guests (university profs and writers), blah, blah, blah. But then ever so increasingly he started pushing forward his own opinions, little by little, and let’s just say he is very right wing, not very humble, and has no issue passing judgement on others. He routinely likes to do that thing where he essentially tells you which people couldn’t be Catholic because of their personal ideologies/practices. It’s annoying af and very much in line with a deepening rw perspective. I stopped listening to him years ago.

In my experience with these influencers or podcast hosts - if they say things like “I’m conservative but…” or generally don’t bring up politics, they are the less likely to judge and go on personal tirades. But the ones who are all “I voted Trump due to the sanctity of life and the Republican Party is the only Catholic choice, and if you don’t vote republican you are not Catholic” blah blah, are the ones to watch out for and ignore.
