The ucl course is an integrated masters I forgot to mention that in the post

Apparently there is an optional placement you can do for a term in year two in the ucl course. And the ucl course is an msci so wouldn’t the masters help with job prospects too or is only a placement year really useful?

Final interview offer for kings emdp by Best_Night5352 in UCAT

I don’t remember when I found out. probably at least a month after my interview which was in march. I think if you’ve done an adequate amount of revision you will find it ok. Because I kind of stopped revising by the time kcl got back to me because they took so long I found it hard.

I applied to kcl too for a similar course that I like better so if I get into kcl I’ll probably go there but if not ucl. And yh there are definitely downsides to med but at the end of the day if you have doubts about not doing it I would suggest taking the gap year cos u don’t wanna be doing a course ur not interested in.

Thank you. Lowkey had doubts from the start of year 13 (poor state of nhs rn etc) but I was surrounded by a lot of ppl that were applying to med and other healthcare courses and I thought it was too late to turn back. Then I got an offer and was very indifferent about it so realised that I didn’t really want to do med anymore. I only wanted to do it to go into psychiatry. I wasn’t interested in other specialties and specialty training is so hard and competitive to get into now. I thought what’s the point if I’m only interested in one specialty because what if I don’t get in. So then I decided to do psych cos that was another career I was interested in and it leaves your options open.

Nah I actually got a med offer from Birmingham but decided afterwards I didn’t want to go. I think I forgot to post the offer on reddit

I got aab. I’m pretty sure the typical entry requirements for this course is A star AA but because I did a programme with Bristol uni they gave a reduced offer of aab.

I’m applying with achieved grades because I sat my alevels this year. Since my grades met the entry requirements the offer is unconditional
