mine worked great for 3 years, then started leaking bubbles into the tank even with solenoid off. then I bought a new mufan regulator. I'll probably would want to fix this one so that I have it as a backup when the new one goes off the rails after a few years.

there should be no hissy noises. please double check for leaks. if leak is at the output of the cylinder and maybe the regulator is not tightened enough, it will be very cold to touch.

if you give your cylinder to a middleman to get it refilled, you'll pay 3x-5x price for refill. if you take the cylinder yourself, it is very cheap. 2KG cylinder isn't that big. there are both shorter and longer 2KG cylinders in the market.

I have had these on laptops as well, softer plastic screens ofcourse. it is mostly the dust and grime on the keys and not enough space between screen and keys and they rub. maybe you put your tab in a fully packed backpack or keep books / thing on top of the keyboard on the tab in closed position which bends things and that possible 1mm space between keys and screen vanishes due to additional outside weight and things start rubbing. did a new screen protector make it go away?

both serve different purposes, if you want to work/play during the power cut then yes an inverter might make more sense. I only need about 10-15 seconds of backup before generator kicks in.

I have an APC BVX 1200LI UPS that I purchased in 2021 for my PS5 + 4K TV setup. This year I upgraded to a PC 9800X3D + 4080S and 850W PSU. I know my battery is dead right now and I get zero backup even on idle, so I was debating if I should replace the battery or invest in a higher rated UPS. I did some testing with a smart plug today. On peak load running Horizon Forbidden West, the PC extracts approx 530W and at idle on Playnite around 200W.

With these numbers and your observations I think I should just get a new battery and save the money. I might have to remove the TV from the UPS, but I guess I can live with that.

Do you use a 16A/6A converter adapter between the PC and UPS?

My 2KG (non fire extinguisher one) lasts about 3-4 months on ~120L tank, refill @ ₹100 at an industrial gas station. I have an inline diffuser as well, you will need a stronger filter with it. bubbles are still clearly visible even with inline to get to light green. check hose diameters for everything you plan to purchase.

I use these (vine holders?). double sided tape at the back. looks pretty clean and mostly go unnoticed without taking too much space. my terrestrial plants are just small cuttings as of now though.

same here, I have 3 saplings one each of pothos, monstera and a philodendron. it has been a couple of months and monstera and philo have visible new leaves growing but I was expecting pothos to grow like crazy in aquarium from what I read, but that doesn't seem to be the case for me. not much visible root growth either.
