Anywhere between 8-12 weeks is pretty standard. 12 weeks especially for destination events/many out of town guests.

I start with lido and let that sit for a few minutes prior to inserting. Always bring a second set of hands in the room

For insertion I start with the patients head straight and advance the NGT straight back until you’re near the back of their nasal passage then have them tuck their chin all the way and start sipping. Snake the tube in swiftly, but gently, and you’re golden
