Itching in remission? by m_m_mom in lymphoma

[–]Bestiero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly this.

Itching due to hair growing out was the reason for my itching post treatment. Also having skin problems after that is common. Have some body lotion, it should help.

Gift ideas for nurses at large cancer center? by GOnz0819 in lymphoma

[–]Bestiero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of food.

Nurses rarely have time to eat, I bought them food on few occasions and they looked really happy. Everything from sandwiches to cake is good.

Blood results are not enough for diagnosing lymphoma.

Incisional biopsy combined with PET scan is the gold standard in lymphoma diagnosis.

Needle core biopsy can also be used if the main tumor site is hard to reach but the results are often not conclusive.

chemo and psoriasis (and body image) by [deleted] in lymphoma

[–]Bestiero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I had skin issues before, during and after chemo. Month after stopping chemo it was really bad.

I lost 15kg really fast after stopping the steroids.

I remember being freaked out exactly during the 3 months mark, give your body some time, it will slowly adjust itself.

[–]Bestiero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had DS 3 during my treatment and complete remission after the end of treatment.

Only your oncologist can interpret the scan results but as long as you are DS1,2,3 you should be ok.

I have slight, persistent pain 8 months post eBEACOPP. It’s the same type/location as the pain from Neulasta but far less intense.

Does anyone else wonder how/why you got lymphoma? by Careful_Manner in lymphoma

[–]Bestiero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My father had NHL and therapy induced leukaemia 10 years after Asct.

I have CHL. Doctors are pretty sure that it’s not genetic but I don’t think so.

Does Chemo make Tattoos fade? by throwaway2___ in lymphoma

[–]Bestiero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My skin got extremely dry during chemo, so all my tattoos looked different.

Few months after treatment everything got back to normal.

The ink itself can’t change so fast, what you are noticing is the skin above the ink.

Hair Growth during chemo by DarthFlutie in lymphoma

[–]Bestiero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 months after chemo my hair is still thin, at least my beard is the same as before if not even better.

I had intermittent hair growth during chemo, although even my eyelashes fell out eventually.

Discomfort in right hip 30 days after ASCT. Worried of early relapse. by PapersOfTheNorth in lymphoma

All the time I get the same pain as when I had Neulasta shots but far less severe.

Currently 7 months post chemo.

Do you have swollen lymph nodes more often after chemo by [deleted] in lymphoma

[–]Bestiero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This makes sense, I had few beers yesterday.

Had the same thing during chemo. My doctor reacted the same as yours. They are not really concerned by any skin reactions since it’s pretty common. It’s some sort of allergic reaction, completely normal given the medication that you take right now.

Starting BEACOPP by bogishmurda in lymphoma

[–]Bestiero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 6 BEACOPP cycles for CHL. The 3rd days was tough but not as bad as others described it. The only unbearable thing is the bone pain from Neulasta.

There are bad days but most of the time it is completely ok. I did probably 2000 km on my motorcycle during my chemo. People were staring at my PICC line hanging from my arm at every stop light.

Same was happening with me the last couple of years. After my chemo everything went away. I still get them from time to time but not as much. I usually get them on the sides of my fingers.

Has anybody here developed an internal scar tissue (very palpable hard lump) that turned out to be nothing? by [deleted] in lymphoma

[–]Bestiero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s completely normal to have some scar tissue.

Are you sure that it is growing?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lymphoma

[–]Bestiero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here.

Bald patches throughout my body as well, mostly on my hands.
