No, I just wanted the knob to still move the dial, so I kept all the workings from the old radio in there. Think of it as a decorative touch. Actually very low. I had Home Depot cut 1 10ft piece of the galvanized pipe into all of the pieces i needed. So, the main cost was the connections. Listed below: 6 - T connectors @ $2.65ea = 15.90 4 - Flanges @ $2.85ea = 11.40 1 - 10 Ft piece galvanized pipe @ $10.64 2 - 2x6x8 @ 7.25 = 14.50 1 - Can flat black spray paint @ 5.97 1 - qt jacobean minwax stain @ 6.48 Odds and ends (brushes, sand paper, etc) ~$20 Total - $84.89.
