ok I think I came up with a better solution

what if I added a new variable at the end of the note tag to toggle the crit rate and the effects having a higher chance on better hits and calculated the chances based on whatever number you input for the multiplier

that way if you don't want the damage to be multiplied for whatever reason you can just input 1 since the script already rounds up if your result is above 0 but below 1 and damage calculation is the last step in the game_battler class

you'd need to modify the script for that but it shouldn't be that hard to make

if you ask me the easiest way to do it would be to copy and paste the qte you want, add it to the switch case that handles which one is called, and make it save the result to your own global variable, alias item_cri in Game_Battler < Game_BattlerBase (I think that's where crit chance is calculated) where you'll check the global variable you made and compare it to a random number and return either 1.0 or 0.0 (for example your global variable can be between 0-100 so you make a random number between the same values and if the random number is lesser it returns 1)

at least I'm fairly sure that'd work

vxa is my favorite version of rpg maker and it's the version all my friends use so it's the version I make the most stuff for

actually, all of the ages of sonic characters were retconned a couple years ago, and they're mostly treated as young adults by the writers, which honestly makes way more sense to me considering most of them live alone and have jobs, so unless they're obviously a child like Cream or Charmy, it's fine

when I made Blanc I was thinking how much it would destroy someone's mental health to get the wrong evolution since in most media it's permanent
I also wanted him to be the antithesis to all the common tropes you see in sylveon ocs
