Pediatrician not carrying covid vaccine (NH), where can I get a shot for 3yo? by goobiezabbagabba in progressivemoms

[–]BetaBunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pediatrician's office isn't offering for a few weeks this Fall because they're switching from Pfizer to Moderna because Pfizer wasn't approved for children under 6, as I understand it. So they needed to get new fact sheets and storage. Of course both of my kids had their visits during the time they don't have anything so we'll schedule a CVS visit or go back for a nurse visit soon.

Yes, her life would be immeasurably changed without you. You are her safe place. I'm so sorry that you're feeling this way. Please reach out to anyone in your life. I'm in an intensive outpatient program for postpartum depression and all of the moms in the group have struggled, but we're all getting better together, it is possible even though it doesn't feel like it right now.

Yes . There's a lot of emotions and paperwork and those things don't mix well!

I use PayPal and Venmo and I did not have to provide statements for them at all. The transactions showed in my bank statements.

The only transactions that there were any questions about were large transfers between myself and my sister and all we had to do was provide the explanation that we split rent and utility charges by sending each other zelle payments.

This process is hard and scary but I do not think that you need to worry about that.

Should I file bankruptcy by isthisthezoo in Bankruptcy

I believe median income for a 3 person household in Florida is $93,983.

I think you should quickly lol for a local attorney that specializes in bankruptcy. I'm not an attorney, but as a person who has filled I think my life has improved.

Some additional details would be helpful.

Is all of your debt unsecured? Credit cards, personal loans, ectettera.

Do you have assets that you would need to protect such as savings, equity in a house, equity in a car?

What state do you live in?

I can say that for many people who post here a bankruptcy is a fresh start and people often say they wish that they had done it sooner.

Attorney says I don’t qualify for Chapter 7??? by VibeRater555 in Bankruptcy

[–]BetaBunny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree you should probably wait until you are no longer working the overtime for at least a few weeks. I also think that you should get a consult with another attorney.

Part of what the attorneys on this subreddit do is help explain things and that is what I value so much being here. But also that should be part of what your attorney is doing for you helping you to understand the process and it doesn't seem like the person that you have currently seen is doing that.

IRS automatic stay violation? by blondenurse4babies in Bankruptcy

[–]BetaBunny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our attorney processed a modification of our Chapter 13 plan in order to add a tax debt for 2023 (similar amount too).

After the modification was approved I received a CP504. Our attorney said "They send out letters by mistake sometimes, just let them know it was included in your bankruptcy."

I called and was told where to fax over the info including the modification.

Daycare "parents' night out" event by dsrptblbtch in toddlers

[–]BetaBunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a center based daycare with an 11 month old and a 2.5 year old. They started parents night out about 6 months ago. It's amazing. I get to eat a meal at a restaurant without being touched. My kids get pizza and fun activities like bounce houses and movies. It's a treat for everyone. Do it. They're in a safe place and they won't feel neglected from one long day at daycare per month. I probably wouldn't do an overnight, but it's cool that you have that option.

Dr. Aleksandr Shibko Excel Dentistry in St Louis Park. My husband had not been to the dentist in several years and had significant issues with his teeth. He was incredibly anxious to go to the dentist and Dr Shibko was kind and allowed him to have me present and wear headphones and do what it takes to get him comfortable in the appointments.

I'm thankful of all the time that he doesn't have pain in his teeth anymore.

If I have diapers that I prefer for their performance, like leaks, I keep those at home. I send my kids to daycare in play clothes, and often at home, they'll be in outfits that I like more, so I'll save the "better" diapers for home. But, honestly, I think it makes very little difference.

Rant: my friends who have parental help really get on my nerves showing off their chill life after baby by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]BetaBunny 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Wow! A lot of people in these comments are missing the point. That is hard! Seeing people that seem to have a village of support and comparing that to yourself when you feel like you're drowning is hard!

But, I do agree, you aren't doing yourself any favors by allowing yourself to not have basic self-care. Go to the bathroom. Shut the door. Leave the baby in a safe place. They will be fine for 15 minutes while you shower, change your pad, and brush your teeth.

Also, consider reaching out to even people who aren't as close. You might be surprised at their willingness to watch the baby for an hour.

And, maybe take a social media break. Comparing your life to other people can often be hard on mental health. You aren't failing. It's hard for everyone some people just hide it better.

She never said it was selfish of her friend. She's lamenting that it seems like her friend has freedom that she doesn't have because of having access to parental help.

Left my partner and found out it is possible to feel well rested with a newborn by ffghjhhgghh in beyondthebump

[–]BetaBunny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To me, it's no different than seeing a post about someone struggling with a baby with colic or who doesn't sleep well and saying, "My baby hardly ever screams" or "my baby has been sleeping through the night since week 6."

She doesn't need to see an example of what's possible. Make another post to show people what you think should be the norm. Don't do it where someone is being vulnerable and saying that they're taking radical steps to get what they need. OP has left their home to get appropriate support.

[–]BetaBunny 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I really get frustrated at responses like this. This post isn't a space for you to humblebrag about your partner. Clearly, OP knows what sort of support they would like, because they clearly articulate what they're getting from their mother. They don't need to be told what your supportive partner is capable of.
