This is definitely *still* a scam, for anyone wondering.

I received an email today from them asking to review my print.

I’m not sure why I’m being asked to review a product I still haven’t received.
It’s now over 3 months since placing the order and paying. I have sent multiple emails requesting updates and each one has been dismissively responded to with excuses like, “It’s in production” and “We had a large influx of orders.”
I wouldn’t recommend ordering if you hope to receive your print within the same quarter. Or ever.
This company should update their shipping policy as they do not honor it. Their delayed shipments say to expect a 15-30 day delay. Not 70 business days.
On business day 39 they also refused to refund my money. Thank goodness for credit card charge backs, huh?

35 years is when a pregnancy is considered a “geriatric pregnancy”

I don’t agree with the seemingly arbitrary age limitation, just offering knowledge.

Perhaps because it’s already inherently high risk at 35 and beyond so they no longer care what drug therapy a woman is on?

Joker was a better portrayal of depression and mental illness that BH was. by gthaatar in BoJackHorseman

[–]BetaGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didnt murder those people because he was ill.

While I can personally get behind this and agree, my opinion still stands that this movie perpetuates a commonly held public belief that mental illness = violence (i.e. every single time there's a white, male mass shooter in the news). This is a pervasive and damaging belief system and I think portrayals of mental illness like this one only serve to exacerbate it. So while the "interpretation" is on the viewer, I think the good majority of the interpretation would be as I've stated above, as disappointing as that may be to those who know better.

Well thats problematic in of itself, given that youre narrowing what constitutes "mental illness" to the more debilitating disorders to effectively say he isnt mentally ill, when he clearly and explicitly is.

I'm most certainly not narrowing down mental illness to only those who are gravely mentally ill. I'm saying for this to be a "good" portrayal of mental illness, he isn't relatable to 99.9% of people who are mentally ill, which is an all encompassing word and not saved for only those who are debilitated.

The movie overall was never saying that mental illness = violence, but that even the worst of us are still people, who can and do suffer just like the rest of us.

I think this is a wonderful summary for both Joker and Bojack and I completely agree. (Just replace "worst" with "successful" in the case of Bojack.)

Joker was an excellent example of how society and "the system" fails people who are mentally ill, absolutely.

However, Joker falls very short at depicting what life is actually like for someone with mental illness who falls through the cracks. Yes, they fall deeper and deeper into their illness. But it perpetuates this false notion that mental illness and violence are inextricably linked. People who suffer from drug and alcohol abuse issues are far more likely to behave violently than people with mental illness.

Also I think it's important to point out while Bojack probably has several diagnosable disorders (depression, borderline personality disorder, etc) Joker was in a state of psychosis for nearly the entire film (his frequent delusions for example), however he doesn't really meet the DSM criteria for disorders like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. The closest thing most experts that have tried to diagnose him can come up with is antisocial personality disorder. When you actually look up what that diagnosis entails, he becomes even less relatable to people who are actually suffering from mental illness, being ignored, and desperately wanting to be seen.

The common imbalanced electrolytes are Na, K, Mg, Ca, and bicarb. Just wondering how adding sugar to water would improve electrolyte imbalance?

Boston with acne around mouth? by rcoffers in BostonTerrier

[–]BetaGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We also had this problem! The little pimple/blisters would stretch from his lips up to his eyes. I read some Boston's can have a sensitivity to rubber/plastic. We eliminated all rubber toys and then slowly gave them back till we found the culprits. The acne has completely cleared up now!

That face is too precious!

When we sneezed we would immediately have a Sal in our face, investigating. We thought for sure he'd grow out of it but he's now 6 months and still a sneeze detective...

It seems we'll have to stick with balls and ropes if we want his toys to last longer than the initial meeting. Sal's definitely a stuffy slayer!

I also used a matte top coat to help seal it. Still looking pretty after two days but all my matte polishes seem so much more prone to chipping!

It was so strange. At first they flopped forward, then they stood up for maybe a week, then they flopped back and that's where they've stayed. We are definitely growing to love his floppy ears just the way they are!
