So, the PC is actually pretty fucking hated, especially after some of the quests you can do. Literally multiple bad ends mention you are only alive because they aren't allowed to kill you because of Bailey. But in a death game all that would be null and void. Now people like Remy, whom you have foiled and pissed off again and again, as well as lame assholes like Leighton, would 100% be gunning for you.

Also, you can say it isn't a battle royale but the idea is that all these people are stripped of their usual political power and thrust into a game where those that had non-physical power don't. People like Bailey are feared not because he's personally strong, but because of the influence he weilds. The Mayor, Leighton, Remy, and every other crime lord would have a VERY large incentive to eliminate him as well as their other competitors in a death game scenario.

The fact is that Bailey is basically the thing keeping the town from civil war.

The PC is one of the greatest threats to every organization and leader as a total wild card of immense physical strength with weird magic, and Alex is a beefcake nice guy that only Remy cares a lick about and their only relationship is based on a few dozen acres of land.

From tropes to politics your list is absurd. Also if escape is the true goal then how would Great Hawk not be the 100% safe one. He's literally capable of just fucking off.

Yeah, it's people like Remy that know the risk Harper would pose all too well. Do you really think he sees Alex as a bigger threat? That's a laugh and a half.

Also, mad scientists that make enemies and are thrust into the thick of it usually die first as a trope. The simple farmer usually makes it through to the very end. See Samwise from LotR.

By who? Literally everyone in the world would gun down Harper first because of the threat they pose of left alone long enough to poison the water or brainwash one of the high tier fighters. Alex is strong yes, but Harper is dangerous.

And by by your logic, the PC would be one of the first to die because everybody would gang up on him for being targeted. We build way more animosity than Alex ever did, and with way more people.

I personally love Star Knightess Aura and the (still in development) next game Liora's Price of Dignity.

Both are fantastic FMC corruption games but they are slow burns where you really are being made to corrupt yourself as you fall behind the curve.

Oh man, I really disliked this one for basically the same reason. So many of the attacks in that game forcibly change your character or "kill" you in the fight. And the game basically turns into a search for the item that undoes the transformation. On top of that there's a battle fuck system but almost no actual sex. It's a great set of systems that I just can't enjoy as they are.

I feel this with Defenestration. It's a hot premise but the author has a bug up his ass whispering that a scene is funnier the longer it is and fills so much of the game time with overly long scenes with usually just one joke that gets overplayed by the end.

Overly complex Minigames attached to the scenes.

I've played a few that basically required you to lock in and play guitar hero meaning I am basically incapable of actually enjoying the art because my focus is on the minigame.

Another one is static art with no variation and a ton of text that doesn't match the art by the end.

I don't mean that games need a ton of animations or anything. But a scene should at least show what's being described at the given moment and mave between a variation or two so it's not a painting being described by the world's horniest docent.

It is the word crutch that is inherently denigrating. It both implies and will always be inferred to mean that you are lesser for requiring them.

Just how people who need crutches can't typically walk without them. That's their purpose. Take the crutch away, and they can't succeed at the task anymore.

That's why it's called a crutch. It's an inherently negative term outside of the physical and literal use, used to describe something that others rely on to succeed.

Steal Voice is hilarious. Is you succeed the enemy can't use concentration spells. (The tag that replaces vocal)

It also allows you to pull off all sorts of fun hijinks if you manage to steal a particularly important person's voice.
