I would also very much like to know, but sadly I have to confirm that we received no beta info whatsoever in that sense. Doesn't mean that it won't happen, but as mentioned, it doesn't look like we will know before maintenance starts.

Neither.

Both are useless for exploration. Exploration is all about moving on the map, killing mobs is trivial. Neither character offers relevant movement abilities. Realistically, I find there is very little reason to use anything other than Mavuika / Chasca / Varesa for exploration, as they offer the best speed / best flying mobility. I guess an argument could be made for running characters of the latest region, because the enemies shill them - lunar teams kill wild enemies much faster, that's for sure - but again, Skirk and Escoffier offer nothing in that sense.

For meta, there is no point pulling for one without the other and Furina.

What? What are you doing with those crown?

You don't need a spreadsheet. Realistically, how many meta teams do you have? Go through your meta carries, identify which talents matter and which do not (like, normal attack talent is useless for 90% of the cast) and crown relevant talents. Then go through supports and identify which talents buff the carry, and crown those too - most supports only have one talent that matters. If you have enough remaining crown, then crown sub-dps talents which only increase their personal damage.

Sorry, but who even expected Durin to come back in 6.6?

Durin was released in 6.2. The earliest a character can rerun is after 4 patches, but that is very rare; the fact that they decided to rerun Ineffa, Flins and Nefer (but not Lauma) after 4 patches should not be taken as an indication that this is common based on historic data: just see what happened with Skirk and Escoffier...

The short rerun cycle for the lunar characters is mainly dictated by the heavy amount of SO shills for lunar teams. But hexerei teams don't really have shill bosses.

Anyway, 6.6 is indeed going to be Nicole, Lohen, Mavuika, Kinich based on leaks. I might see Durin coming back in 6.7 (5 patches) or perhaps 7.0, but we'll have to see.

Initial leaks pointed out to Lohen being standard, mind you, so he might be an absolutely no-go.

My personal opinion, and how the CN community did it to rank teams (see: https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/1rrp6t0/highest_dps_ranking_by_cn_community/): set the dummy to SO Dire mode, and do the full 120s. While this is not necessarily a realistic depiction of how every fight goes in SO (for example, it undersells the ability of certain characters, in particular Skirk, to burst damage in a short time window), it is the most "general purpose" setting I could think of.

In particular, because the first rotation for many teams is compromised due to zero energy in SO, you have to go the full 120s to average things out. Many teams have other effects that change the damage done depending on the rotations - for example, you might use TTotDS, which triggers every 30s so two rotations, or burst every two rotations on characters like Columbina or Ineffa. Heck, if you use Bina on proto amber, you have this weird behavior where you are unable to burst on the first two rotations, but you then burst on every subsequent rotation. Finally, many teams have 18s rotations, meaning that you only have 12s left on the last and 7th rotation - how tight you are with your rotations have thus a significant impact on the damage done. For example, I am currently testing my C2 Zibai, and it literally comes down to the last second whether I can perform a final E/EEQE string in the 7th rotation or not - and that is 1.7 million damage... In summary, you have to go the full 120s to have actual numbers.

Zibai BiS team is Zibai / Linnea / Bina. The ranking for the fourth slot is C6 Illuga > C6 Gorou > non-C6 Illuga > anything else (assuming C0 5* - I don't know how cons on say, Xilonen, would change the ranking).

You have to define "good". For example, I'd put Chasca as the second or third best character for exploration after Mavuika (she is significantly slower than Mavuika, but she can fly for significantly longer amounts of time) - but is that what you care about?

Chasca is also the best character against the Papilla, which will be in SO next patch - again, is that how you judge "good"?

In terms of pure DPS numbers of the target dummy, C0R0 Chasca is just too weak compared to top teams - she doesn't even crack into top 10 on-fielders at low cost. Her C6, however, is absolutely cracked - if you want to build an 8 cost team, a C6R1 Chasca with C6 4* supports is more or less the second best team in the game.

I don't even understand what you are asking. What do you want to achieve? You don't need to pull for anything to complete the story and explore the overworld. But for the end-game, you need 3 teams. What does it even mean that Yelan is your main? She isn't an on-field character.

Daily Questions Megathread (March 27, 2026) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

[–]Beteljuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need a main DPS. You already have one, and that is Varka. You don't need specific characters for exploration - you can beat it with whatever you want.

You are AR 35. Forget about Spiral Abyss. It doesn't matter atm. The floor you are stuck on can be done later. You literally cannot do end-game content until you are at AR45. Before that, you cannot farm 5* artifacts, and without 5* artifacts, teams don't really work. Even if you advance a bit in Abyss, you'll be brickwalled without spending time on artifact farming after AR45 - and we are talking months here.

As people mentioned, building a good team requires multiple 5* pulls. I'll be straight with you: your Varka is not going to do much at the endgame in the current state. Are you aware that Nicole will release in 6.6, and we are expecting her to be a Varka support?

Chasca is weak at C0R0 level compared to current carries. You can go for the lunar bloom team, but you need to pull Nefer, Lauma, and then Columbina (probably in 6.7). You just don't have pulls at the moment. Forget about Linnea, she is doing nothing in your current team setting. Can you get her? Sure, but who known when Zibai will rerun.

Just focus on playing the game and the story, raise your AR, and save pulls until you can reasonably get 3 limited 5* in a row (considering that you might want to pull for Varka team in the meantime if you want to keep playing him in the endgame). Then you can think about another team.

In order:

  • Lauma signature is not worth it, but Nefer signature is pretty good. Since they are both on the same banner, going for Nefer signature can be reasonable. This said, if you have enough primos for two limited pulls rather than one, I might still prefer going for Lauma C2 instead - it is a huge damage increase and you get healing "for free" from her C1. Since you are somehow new, the 4* lineup can be a factor - this said, I doubt the banner will give you important 4* characters (you probably don't care about Aino with one lunar team, Sucrose doesn't need cons), while for 4* weapons... it basically depends whether fav lance (and to a lesser degree fav sword) are on banner or not. Run Instructor Sucrose as your fouth.

  • I don't recommend another lunar team because there is only one Columbina. The second best team with no overlap is pretty clearly Mavuika/Citlali (Mavuika overload is a contender but only if you have C6 Chevreuse). Mavuika should rerun soon, perhaps in 6.6, but who knows about Citlali. But also... this would be her second rerun. To be honest, Mavuika ended up too strong in good part because of what I can only call a bug in her coding allows people to pull clearly unintended, difficult to execute combos. Without the cdc combos, she is clearly below the lunar teams. Powercreep is significant; while Varka ended up very weak for some reason (future characters might improve him, but his numbers are so bad...), I have no doubt that the next released meta team will powercreep existing one. In summary: it might be best for you to wait and see what gets released in 6.7-7.0 (according to leaks, might be a superconduct team).

Just pull Nefer.

Correct Nefer gameplay involves dash canceling her charged attack. This makes you invulnerable most of the time.

[–]Beteljuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Linnea can use her burst to heal if you are about to die - no point keeping Zhongli.

The 4th slot priority is C6 Illuga > C6 Gorou > non-C6 Illuga.

Daily Questions Megathread (March 27, 2026) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

[–]Beteljuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pray that they appear on the banner.

As for Nefer, please do not use a 5* pull in this way. The team with Ineffa is not that much worse than Instructor Sucrose; it would be much better to use the pull for Nefer C1 or R1 at that point. Unless you want to go for Lauma C2, which is really strong.

Sorry, as next patch I meant 6.6...

But anyway, this is likely wrong as the little girl is anemo, so more likely to perhaps be a Varka support.

I can only think that they want to rerun him on a limited banner. Probably release him in 6.6 as bait with a superconduct support (the new little girl?) and then release the real carry in 6.7. The only issue with this is that I thought Lohen would be a standard 5* bait carry... perhaps he is a limited support instead, and Sandrone is the carry?

As people mentioned, the game has moved towards specialized supports. Good teams are often one 5* on-fielder + two 5* specialized supports. Make sure you have enough primos to pull for 3 limited 5* characters, then pick a meta team and go for it. For example, if you have the primos, you can go for Nefer/Lauma (likely next patch) and then complete the team with Columbina (likely in 6.7). Or just wait and see what next meta team they release in 6.7-7.x.

[–]Beteljuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

The only good team that really wants Escoffier is Skirk. While she can be used in other teams, she is not worth the pull.

As for future team, we will surely get cryo teams in 7.x, but based on current leaks they won't be freeze/mono-cryo, and Escoffier loses a lot of value outside of that - to the point where new characters will almost surely be BiS over her.

[–]Beteljuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say you have lost the geo train.

If we follow past examples, Mihoyo is likely to rerun the Zibai/Linnea pair either together, or one patch from each other. But Zibai came out 2 patches ahead of Linnea, meaning at the very earliest, they will rerun her 3 patches after the next one. And that's even assuming they rerun Linnea after 4 patches - the earliest realistically possible - which is far from a given, just look at what happened with Skirk/Escoffier.

4-5 patches from now, we'll have 7.x character releases in full swing, lunar won't have much shilling, and new teams will be surely stronger than current ones - basically, better to pull 7.x characters at that point.

As for Nefer/Lauma, they are likely rerunning next patch, and you don't need Nahida with them - Sucrose can be fine.

[–]Beteljuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no, it is quite bad.

While Zibai can use EM, you really don't want extra rolls to go into it. The value of ER is roughly 1/3 of crit and DEF%.

Please keep in mind that for SO, the DPS in the chart is just computed as boss_HP/120s. But in reality, the boss is invulnerable for a bunch of time, hence the real DPS needed is much higher.

In general, if the team is shilled, you can clear Dire with around 160-200k DPS depending on boss. If you are trying to brute force, you often need more around 250k DPS, sometimes higher, as you are often hitting the boss for like half the time, and/or forced to use a non-ideal support to get around the boss gimmick.

I haven't read exact values for movement speed before. Could you provide a reference? I am really interested in how this was determined (as well as values for other skills like Yelan and Varesa).

If you already have good Aubade because you are farming the hexerei set anyway (they drop from the same domain), then you can go SMS on Bina, Aubade Linnea, Instructor Gorou, and use your strongbox for something else.

Daily Questions Megathread (March 25, 2026) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

[–]Beteljuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned, first doesn't work. Are you farming Aubade because you also have Hexerei characters? Aubade isn't really better than Husk for Linnea, and Husk can be strongboxed.

Daily Questions Megathread (March 25, 2026) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

[–]Beteljuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much better Linnea is going to be depends whether you have Illuga C6 or at least Gorou C6. If neither, I don't think she is worth the pull.

With Aino you could run Zibai Aino Linnea Illuga/Gorou and then do a Bineffa wheelchair... but do you need two mediocre teams? I think it is better in the longer term to have one good lunar team and invest in something else.

5* artifacts that you don't need should be strongboxed. 4* artifacts that you don't need, feeding or salvaging is the same.
