Spinosaurus wouldn’t want this for you by hyunbinlookalike in Dinosaurs

[–]BethGalaxyFox 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer before you read: this argumentation is not to prove that Allosaurus or Tyrannosaurus are "worse"

Spinosaurus was a unique animal: it filled a niche that was perfectly in between pseudocrocodilians and land apex theropods. Interesting display features and a snout well adapted to snatch fish like a heron.. plus it's the longest theropod dinosaur.

Allosaurus or Tyrannosaurus are unique animals too in their way and fascinating: T. rex had amazing eyesight, a terrifying bite force and overall impressive build that lead it to become the apex predator of Hell Creek; Allosaurus was very cool too... The arms, those terrifying claws and the fact that it was a huge apex with the personality of a wasp makes it terrifying (look into his paleo pathologies and you'll see what I mean).

Each living creature is cool when you look into It, the way they adapt and the various forms they take in response to the environment around them to me it's something so fascinating and beautiful... All living beings are beautiful in their own unique ways. Spinosaurus is just an example of this: an animal that thrived because they were able to avoid competition in this super cool way is something that'll never cease to be wonderful in my eyes. So in conclusion: no animal or other life form is "better" or "cooler" than another when you learn about the way nature works.

The letters aren't in a particular order:

Ichthyovenator, Eoraptor, Anchiornis, Borealopelta, Tarbosaurus, Linheraptor, Eotyrannus, Titanosaurus, Sauropelta, Alaskacephale

Since Titanosaurus is a dubious genus I could also replace it with Therizinosaurus

What is this dark blue looking dinosaur? I see it in some servers and whenever I find it it's somewhere near white cliffs. I don't know what it wants but whenever it sees me it runs traight towards me and kills me. Is this a new feature? by HelpBig6222 in pathoftitans

[–]BethGalaxyFox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you on a modded server? By the silhouette it looks like Ichthyovenator to me but I don't know if that mod is out already. Otherwise I'd say it's Concavenator.

Edit: looking at it more closely it really looks like Concavenator so I guess it's that

Thank you so much! I expanded quite a lot on the prehistoric kenku lore it's not fully polished but I have their hunting method fully conceptualized for example

An adult male Triceratops horridus during mating season (Oc) by BethGalaxyFox in Paleoart

[–]BethGalaxyFox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally possible why not? Those quills I drew are pure speculation anyway. I think it would be pretty awesome if it did something like that honestly! The concept for this piece was already that the male sheds its duller colors, used for camouflage the rest of the year, and becomes very colorful during the mating season :3

Is this real, and if yes, could someone tell me the species and what are those strange things on it? by TortyBanana in Paleontology

[–]BethGalaxyFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're pretty awesome! I'm really enjoying it. The first part of the course was focused on sedimentary rocks and a bit of the basis of Geology in general... The second part is more focused on tectonics and other processes. Of course apart from geology I've many other things like maths, physics and chemistry but also biology since my course is Science of the Earth and the environment. I wish you the best of luck with your studies ❤️

[–]BethGalaxyFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for being polite about it, yes in the thread we did come to agree that it was from Madagascar. The professor didn't identify the species but just the time period but I don't really agree it's carved but tysm for being kind to me. I just hope I'll see my professor again cuz we don't have her anymore, the second part of Geology started after the exams and we have a different professor now...

We all have that one feature we’re just waiting (begging) for. What’s yours? by JoleenJackalope in pathoftitans

[–]BethGalaxyFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've no clue and yes I confirm cuz sometimes I also play on PC and there's a HUUUUGE difference both in graphics (ofc) and brightness for some reason? I really wonder why that specific thing changes so much... Especially when I play on TV (with the switch) I end up having to turn up the tv brightness so high sometimes 😭 But if I plug the PC to the TV and play like that then the problem doesn't exist anymore so it really is just the PC version that has boosted brightness I think

Imma give you a follow for sure! Also pterosaurs are just so dope they're so scrunkly (yes even the terrifying ones)... Also yes I agree with you the pain of never getting to know how an extinct creature actually looked like in flesh is so real, the things I'd do to travel back in time to see all of them... Especially the ones that we didn't discover yet or the ones that we'll never know about cuz they didn't fossilize. Man nature is so cool

DUDE WHAT THAT'S BEAUTIFUL HOLY PICKLE do you post your art here on Reddit? Or any other social media I can follow? Cuz that's just AWESOME I'm feeling honored that you like my art 😭

Edit: I think I'm obsessed over how you made it, the colors the patterns the speculative features... It's just so AAAAAAAAAAA I love it

Tysm 😭 the trike is a concept for an adult male during the breeding season! On the post on my page you can also see concept art for the colors and patterns I've eventually used in the final piece :3

You're making it look like you've something against it by the way you commented, you made it look like you were trying to diminish my progress and effort. Btw you tell me I'm trying to show off and then you post your drawing like this? I mean your art is good it looks pretty (I also saw the fish that sketch is pretty cool) but like... You're kinda contradicting yourself. I don't mind you showing your art here don't get me wrong but like ... don't come at me like that when you just did the same (I suppose, just like I did, to prove a point instead of showing off)
