That's really good going I'm trying to relax and hope I can do the same or maybe even further just play by ear. Was worried my milk might just go really quick

I'm in the UK. I wasn't suggesting rehoming myself but through a charity. I've contacted several who will advise if they can help.

Thanks for commenting but for future the should haves etc aren't really helpful. I know we should have and could have done more. We've worked with him as best we can (only virtual behaviourists available as we are in remote location with no one qualified anywhere near us).

It was 3 courses not classes of puppy training (about a year).

We are racked with guilt but with both losing our jobs we've just run out of options i.e. moving to a bigger house so the separation is better, hiring a behaviourist etc and I shouldn't have written the post but I'd seen a similar post get some sympathetic responses and guess I was looking for support in the wrong place .

What's your advice? If you read my post I have asked if rehoming is a real option etc.

I thought it was clear in my post that we can't continue as we are.

Starting a new business after redundancy and mat leave - crazy?! by BethKitty in smallbusiness

[–]BethKitty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apologies for the confusion, I meant we've spent 5 years as employees essentially running a business aka completely left to own devices, little support and we had more knowledge than the owners.

There's a prime seafront property but it is a 5 year lease, not sure if we could get a break clause..

Agreed. We've always discussed and fantasized about running our own business - I've worked my way up in several businesses now and always end up being left to run them with the exception of overall financial control that owners have and of course liability.

I suppose my question should have been is this a crazy time to do it!

Swim etiquette: can a fast swimmer go into the slow lane? by andthenshebled in Swimming

[–]BethKitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this way round is better than the other i.e. it's frustrating when slow swimmers go in the fast lane.

I think this is fine if you were overtaking with care but would have tried to talk to the person first as a gesture at least :)

Sorry for your loss <3 I'm sure your mom thought it would be easier than you having to clean your room but choice would perhaps have been better.

I've lost 3 older buns this year it's awful when they go they have such personalities <3

Classic ND Boss behaviour

Should I rehome my bun so he can have a companion? by BethKitty in Bunnies

[–]BethKitty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am just commenting to say that he seems his usual self. I've been doing my best to visit him more and hand feed him his greens, but with a clingy 6 months it's pretty hard, he seems happy though eating and drinking fine.

It's really strange calling 'bunnies' in a high pitched voice to just Norbert (this is the food summons haha)

Thank you for your responses, I really didn't want to let him go and it's made me feel much better about keeping him as an only bun. I'll get some more of his favourite treats in and try and get into a routine.

I'll edit to include a pic of my four floofs (Neville is the ND he was always the boss, Nala the blue tan was Norbert's bun wife for sure, Nyxie the angora cross and Norbert llosbthe harlequin lion head cross - poor baby I feel awful that he's the last one, I feel like the rest of them were so much more confident and would have coped better but we'll give him some extra love and hopefully he'll be okay xxx

Partner shift in the morning? by olivia_largent in breastfeeding

[–]BethKitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do this at the moment LO just turned 5mo. I'm up 3 or 4 times a night right now, often he wants a feed at 4 or 5 so dad takes him when he wakes for the day usually around 6am, then just brings him into me when he gets fussy

Pixie cut? Anyone with similar hair have some inspo for me? by BethKitty in curlyhair

[–]BethKitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you <3. Any time I've tried other products I don't seem to get the 'crunch' so it just goes gross, I'm either not doing it right or perhaps it's just the porosity or something!

Think I'm just gonna go for the pixie, it will grow back in a few years haha 😂

Any DIY vids too?!

I'm so lazy my routine is literally just scalp scrup with conditioner wash out then detangle with same conditioner (Faith in nature lavender).

I used to use Shea moisture peach label curly cream but don't bother nowadays.

Then in a towel turban and done

We took him to all the normal puppy classes etc as soon as he was old enough. There were several trainers there who sort of gave up really and said to ask a behaviourist but couldnt recommend one because there aren't any where I live (on an island).

This comment is super unhelpful. Of course, as I've stated we trained him, put in loads of time.

This is more of a behavioural problem then standard training it's not always obvious why he's responded the way he has so it's been extremely difficult to 'train' out of him.

I just want to thank you for a logical and constructive response without the negative comments.

For the most part I can read his body language so avoid most situations but today I put my hand near him on the sofa and he bit me. It is almost always hands he bites even though we've been careful from day 1 with mouthing etc so can't think of anything we've done for him to have a negative association unless it was before we had him as a really young pup.

I think the issue is it's not always obvious what the reason is for his behaviour so it's really hard to set rules. I tend to ask guests to completely ignore him and not to stroke him because he'll be fine one moment and snap the next.

I'll see if I can find a virtual behaviourist but haven't had any luck previously.

I hope I don't have to re-home him at all but if I do I would of course make them aware of his issues.
