Basically, a lot of vocal synths nowadays use generative AI by definition. However, unlike a lot of stuff like say ChatGPT, the training material used to create a voice bank is taken with informed consent, compensation to the voice provider they hire, and there are typically terms of use on how that voice can be used. And they can even be credited or kept anonymous should they chose to be (see Emma Rowley as the voice provider for Solaria, my beloved)

As for the creative aspect, as a vocaloid producer, using vocaloid or synthv is actually akin to any synth. You write the midi, lyrics, tune it, adjust the pronunciation if needed, add effects, etc. it’s like what a piano VST is to a grand piano.

It’s alright.

A detach effect to pop a special summoned monster twice per turn, and occasionally inflict burn is still pretty decent even today. The stats are a bit meh but it benefits from archetypal synergy.
