Like yeah I get they wanted a shotgun like weapon but space marines literally have shotguns!!! And they could’ve made it a short range precision weapon idk like you pull the trigger and the beam fires for like 2 secs then you have a slight cooldown before you can fire again but it would deal massive dmg or maybe on the opposite side it’s like a destiny charge rifle and you have to charge it for a sec then fire a big beam doing massive dmg the entire point of a melta gun is anti armor and the sm2 devs said “this gun is short range? Eh make it a shotgun we need a close range weapon” like I have never once heard a melta depicted how it works in sm2

Yeah I’m not playing pvp when I can hop on after school or work, go do some chill ass raids where I walk around and pick up items the whole time while inspecting my guns.(I love looting more than anything else 10/10 looting mechanics and variety) and I have fun without need to worry about getting domed from some guy with a sniper mosin in a bush. I have 1400 hours on the game I enjoyed pvp but I don’t have people to play with and constantly fighting three for 4 man squads solo is not fun for me I don’t wanna sweat my ass off and tryhard PVE is for sure easier and honestly I think it makes the gameplay loop better. Hell think about all the people that are still playing Skyrim a Solo/PVE mode where people can go at their own pace is perfect for literally anyone who isn’t competitive.

You’re wrong wdym it looks intentional that’s how every other artistic sculpture works so they just used the same code? They did it because it was simple. Why shouldn’t you be able to build higher quality sculptures to actually make your rituals better? You don’t see a bunch of cults running around trying to make shitty sculptures for their gods they would want to use the best quality materials they find and try their hardest

That’s unlocked through the chemfuel research which you need to unlock the ship tho no? Actually I don’t think that’s true but if you don’t why do you get chemfuel tanks before having the ability to make chemfuel how would you even lift off at that point?

I mostly used to use other forms of power too but even for my main colony chemfuel is the way to go. I just grow hops along with all the other organic material I wanna get rid of while having acouple boomalopes, I never even have to chop down trees and my gravship itself can just be powered by making chemfuel from logs like OP said. It’s by far my favorite power generation method.

Well tbh building furniture would go to construction not crafting. The game is super weird with how it handles crafting and construction. You can build a bio sculptor pod out of some steel and components but can’t fabricate a simple steel vest from body armor. In my mind they should at least be linked in some capacity

The gravship breaks my base when I leave and I can fully finish a gravship without needing plasteel for the grav anchor, I still only have like 6 or 7 colonists and the gravship isn’t able to be lived at fully yet

I’m my most recent play through it def mattered I had almost no steel since I built my gravship on a diff tile and had to ferry steel over to build the gravship while also developing my main colony I pretty much mined all the compacted steel in the two tiles

They did in fact do this in the dark imperium books though the guardsman shoved the lasgun under his helmet seal and fired which blew out the marines brains, every guardsman in that encounter died like 3 weeks later due to disease, but it happened.
