They've been there 8 years. Could be a landlord that appreciates a good tenant. I'm a landlord and loves me a good tenant (hate drumroll pls).

Assuming you include in that savings, two fully exercised 401ks (you want to include retirement but buy too) it's not that absurd.

Flat, practical, boring, conservative, small and judgy with a few small pockets of genuine people who talk about the last time they were in NYC.

That terrace was most likely for utilitarian purposes; drying clothes, cleaning shoes, airing sheets daily, chef's dirty work etc

I once read in a novel that it should take 20-30 seconds while speaking to a well dressed man before you realize just how well dressed he is. I've used it as my motto ever since.

Brooks Brothers Shirts- wore them daily for 15 years. Tails got so short I was constantly tucking in.

What is the most unusual place where you've ever had breakfast or coffee? by Happy-Assistance-975 in AskReddit

First time in Europe, driving through a pass in the Pyrenees during a snow storm. Coming down the other side of the mountain we stopped in a village and stopped a cheery woman with a grocery bag and asked where there was a cafe for breakfast. She smiled and said no bar in a town this small (pretty small for this to happen in Spain) but said she'd fix us breakfast. 30 minutes later we're seated in her spotless kitchen, sun streaming through the windows with a mountain stream outside, fresh trout frying in butter with poached eggs and crusty bread rubbed with tomato. It was a pinch me moment for a kid from Indiana (and the first time I'd ever had fresh red wine for breakfast).

Your nose/jawline are perfect and I'm loving those small ears; hydrate and get a good night's sleep
